Okay, After much reading and talking with people...thanks Britt I have found out that Tricare will "usually" approve a tummy tuck after gastric bypass, but that is about where it ends unless you need breast reduction or are related to the President or Vice President... So, I just told my insurance lady with Dr. Katzen...my favorite doc!!! To please re-submit for ONLY a TT and make sure it says medically necessary on the forms. If I can get at least 1/2 covered, then I am good. I just really, really want Dr. Katzen to do the surgery. SO..........PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Pray for me to get it approved!! I am doing all I can and hopefully it will help. I also included all my pcp's notes for rashes etc...which I did the first time too. I just think they are really stingy and because I am STANDARD, not PRIME, and I do not have a military doc, its harder...I think key is to have a military doc write the referral.
