I'M WORKING ON UPDATING MY PROFILE & I JUST RAN ACROSS A NOTE I MADE THAT THE 1st MEETING NICK & I ATTENDED WAS AT APPLEBEE'S ON RIVERS ON 9/1/2005 AFTER MY ALL-DAY INITIAL APPOINTMENT AT MUSC. MSs LORI, SUSANN, BRITTY & LISA D WERE THERE. MSs LORI & SUSANN HAD STARTED MEETING WEEKLY JUST A SHORT TIME BEFORE NICK & I STARTED GOING. SO, OUR LITTLE BAND OF BUDDIES IS OVER A YEAR OLD! HAPPY, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!! GOD'S BLESSINGS TO OUR LCBBuddies ... DAWN & NICK

GOSH!!! I think I remember going for the first time in October?? Or end of September?? I remember it was when Tawana was going in for her surgery the next day or so. That is amazing!!! God works in mysterious ways!! So many have benefitted from the support group! God bless you all, you will never know what the support group has meant to me and many others Deb

I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME YOU CAME BECAUSE A COUPLE OF US STAYED LATE AFTER EVERYONE HAD GONE HOME & YOU WERE TELLING US THE FUNNIEST "FART" STORIES. WE WERE LAUGHING OURSELVES SILLY. YES MA'AM, WE HAVE ALL GOTTEN SO MUCH FROM OUR LCBBuddies. I'VE NEVER BEEN A BELIEVER IN SUPPORT GROUPS ... FELT THAT THERE WAS NO BENEFIT IN REHASHING THE SAME PROBLEMS OVER & OVER. BUT, WITH OUR LCBBuddies, IF WE HAVE A PROBLEM, SOMEONE HAS A SOLUTION BECAUSE THEY'VE GONE THROUGH SOMETHING SIMILAR ... &, MOST OF OUR MEETINGS ARE JUST A BUNCH OF FRIENDS LAUGHING & HUGGING & SHARING WITH EACH OTHER ... IT IS A BRIGHT SPOT IN THE WEEK! NICK & I FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE SO MANY FANTASTIC PEOPLE IN OUR LIVES. GOD BLESS ... DAWN & NICK

Well, Ms Becky ... We thank you for being so steadfast within the group ... You come no matter what & I can't ever remember seeing you that your sweet spirit & joyful smile weren't shared with all of us. We look for you because if you are there smiling, then everything is A-OK. Isn't it amazing that our weight issues have brought us so much stress, pain & challenge in our lives ... &, now that we have finally found a way to overcome these issues, we find the most wonderful friendships with others going dwn the same road! Lori and I first met in June, so you are right, it wasn't long after that you came to be with us. I can't believe it has been a year - and we have made so many wonderful friends in this process! Susann

I KNOW, MS SUSANN ... WE HAVE DEFINITELY GAINED WONDERFUL BLESSINGS FROM THE OTHERS IN OUR CIRCLE OF BUDDIES. IT'S AMAZING! WE ALSO GAIN SO MUCH FROM OUR "EXTENDED FAMILY OF BUDDIES" RIGHT HERE ON THIS BOARD. WE SHARE MORE WITH EACH OTHER, EVEN THOUGH MOST OF US HAVE NEVER MET, THAN WE SHARE WITH MOST OF OUR OWN RELATIVES! hello all i guess this is one time you can say better late then never,,,i started in june,,,,,one yr later,,lol you all have helped me so much,,,,ms barbara,,got me started,,,,dragged me even when i didnt want to,,,,,scard i wasnt going to be one of ya'll,,,,,,,,i was just in the paper work stage,,,,,i didnt know if i was going to get the surgery or not,,,,,,but ms brit,,,helped me,,,,looked into so much stuff for me,,,,,but most of all made me feel that ya'll really cared,,,,thank you with all my heart ,,,,,,,,im now one of the losers,,,and that is one kinda loser i like,,,,,,oh i hit the 40lbs yesterday,,,,that was a big day,,,time ,,,feeling,,,,great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so glad to be a part of LCBBUDDIES,,, friends with pouchs, sandy
