No date yet but October is looking good. The earliest date is possibly October 2-4 - If Dr. Bour allows me to shorten optifast!! They said some people have been getting confused about it by rushing though it so it may have to be like the 16th if he doesn't ok it to be sooner. Lacy was going to talk to him this afternoon! Let's hope for the best.

Your doc makes you take optifast?? That is weird. Dr. Byrne just says show up and no prep...in fact he told us to go have a great dinner the night before!! 
The only thing I can say about starting a diet/protein drink ahead of time is maybe jumping ahead of the head hunger thing. I had that really bad the first month. 
Caffeine withdrawal was really bad too, but after a few days of no diet coke, it went away!
You are lucky to start all that early!!
You are going to love, love this surgery! You will do great!!! Take care, and see you on the boards as the incredible shrinking woman!!

Kathy Let's hope they can get their stuff rolling... I'm waiting on Carmen to talk to Dr. Bour now. She is going to find out if he will approve bumping up the optifast date. She said he doesn't want to but he needs to schedule some surgery for that week so we will have to see. I'm anxious to see if Carmen will call me back...like she promised!
