MY SISTER AND I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR SINCERE THANKS FOR ALL THE PRAYERS SENT OUT FOR OUR MOTHER. SHE CAME THROUGH THE BRONCOSCOPY W/O HAVING TO STAY OVERNIGHT IN THE HOSP. WHICH IS WONDERFUL, UNFORTUNETLY THE DR. FOUND A TUMOR IN HER RT. LUNG W/ PART OF IT BEING NECROTIC (DEAD) AND HE SAID IT WAS HIGHLY SUSPISOUS OF CANCER. HER RT. BRONCHIAL TUBE WAS COMPLETELY BLOCKED, HE WAS ABLE TO OPEN IT 20%, AND THE UPPER LOBE OF HER RT. LUNG WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING UP W/ THE PULMONOLOGIST ON 10/4 (my birthday) FOR THE PATH REPORT. I DO KNOW HE WANTS TO START RADIATION RIGHT AWAY. AGAIN THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS. I JUST ASK YOU CON'T TO PRAY FOR HER. GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SAFE DONNA

I'll tell you what Ms Donna, when we pray for my Momma & Daddy's health issues,we'll pray for your Momma as well. We also pray that you & your sister will gain strength & understanding throughout this journey you are taking along with your Mother! On your birthday ... Forget the medical issues ... Celebrate all the years you have shared with your Mother, looking forward to many, many more. When issues arise like this one, which are far too big for us to be able to handle or do anything to change ... there is a GIFT within the situation if you will accept it ... It is "clarity" ... It becomes very, very clear what is truly important & what is not worth even a moment of your time or effort. Things that lack true value will fade from your focus. You'll find great strength & satisfaction in "giving back" to your Mother. Moments that flew by before become precious as they should have been all along, but with all the demands & stresses of life, we let pass by without even a thought. You'll find so many "gifts" during this time. Focus on those ... not on the medical issues. Deal with what is necessary for the medical issues, but focus on the precious gifts between you, your Mother & family. Take time for yourself ... You will need to back away at times & recharge ... Nothing wrong with that. My 100-year old "Aunt" says, "EAT THE FIRST HAMBURGER!" I thought she was a silly old lady until she explained. If you don't take care of yourself first, you won't have the energy to take care of anyone else, so "eat the first hamburger, girl". When I've worn myself to a frazzle & just want to sit & cry, Aunt Ena comes to mind & I remember to take some time for myself. God bless you & yours, Ms Donna ... Dawn & Nick

Dawn, Thank you for your wonderful words of wisdom. My mother, sister and I have always been there for each other, in good times and bad. We will con't to do so no matter what the out come is. With God's help and prayer we will persevere. What ever mom needs we'll be here for her as she has always been for us. On another note I went for my pre-ops today. Surgery is scheduled for 10/13. Now the stomach is jumping and nervous. But I know it's for the best. At least I'll be home w/ mom for at least 6 weeks. So she won't be alone. Again thank you for your support, wisdom, prayers and kindness. Donna
