I attended my seminar today at the Lexington Weight Management Center at the Lexington Medical Center. My surgeon will be Dr. Strickland and he was the one who spoke at the seminar. I am so excited and want to thank my son, brother and sister who are making this possible for me to have. I have my doctor's appointment on Monday, November 13th, 2006. Are there any tips out there that anyone can give me and are there any angels in this area that are willing to take me on lol? Thanks, Carolyn

Thank you so much - added you to my address book today and am looking forward to meeting you - I am so excited about this and the fact that I can actually have it done! My son, brother and sister are all working over in Iraq and they offered me this opportunity after I was admitted to the hospital with a scare this past month. Thank goodness it was okay. But now is the time to get it all together and reclaim my life. Carolyn

Welcome Carolyn! How exciting is it to finally get things started?! My best tips are ... learn as much as you can about the surgery and recovery, take advantage of the support groups offered by your surgeon, and stay involved with a message board like this one or a group near you who can offer support and answer questions. Let us hear from you as you move on down the road toward your surgery. Best of luck! Dawn
