Change in date..kinda depressed

Doesn't look like I will be having my surgery on the 27th as planned..... Dr. Rowitz's office submitted the paperwork yesterday afternoon to my insurance.. so now it's in review... the insurance lady told me it could take up to 15 days... So.. I'm on "hold" until all that clears.. since the holiday is next week.. the offices will be closed Thrusday and Friday.. just to short of a week to get pre-op and all done.. I'll keep you posted on a day.. Just a little depressed about it..

Stephanie! Sorry to hear about the delay! I remember when I was getting ready for the surgery, I wanted everything done yesterday!!! Try not to sweat it too much. Everything happens for a reason. Just think... it will give you a little more time to get ready for Christmas!!!! Melissa

Oh no, sweetie!! I'm so sorry! I will be gone to FL for a week next month...if your surgery gets bumped til then, I'll try and find a substitute angel for ya! (((HUGS))) otherwise I'll be there!! Keep me updated, and I did get your info, so you know. ;) Something like that happened to me...Dr. R set my date, then it was about a week prior that I got my approval...only to find out the date was tentative and it was already booked!! I was so upset...but Marcey (?) I forget if her name is Marcey or Marcia...she talked to Dr. R and got me in the day after my original date. So there is hope! Oh hun, I'm so sorry your date is getting bumped. I had 3 surgery dates that all got missed waiting on the approval but like everyone says, it happens for a reason. Now I get to enjoy the holidays with my family instead of being in the hospital and stuck on puree for a month. By this time next year I will have learned what I can and cannot eat and still enjoy the holidays. My date is 1/5/07. I was so happy when I finally heard I was approved. I actually asked to wait until the first of the year, so that I can start my year off right. This will be the first time I actually keep my New Year's resolution to loose weight! . Be strong and stay focused. GOD knows what HE is doing and HE loves you so that HE will bless you with the strength and patience you need. We will all be here for you in the meantime. I'm sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. Mine was changed too because of insurance delays, etc. But, It WILL happen. And believe me, it is worth the wait. Just enjoy your thanksgiving meal and don't worry about anything. Your day will come.
