Ok....I'm getting a wee bit tired of protein bars. However, I need some quick easy suggestions for breakfast. I miss cereal, so any cereal suggestions would be welcomed. Also, how does eating cereal go with the don't drink with meals rule...if you have milk in your cereal? Thanks so much for any suggestions. Rachel

I have two favorite breakfasts: 1. Dannon Light n Fit yogurt (4 oz container) with 1 tablespoon walnuts, 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds, and 1/4 cup Uncle Sam Cereal. 2. Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal with 1 tablespoon walnuts and 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds. I'm thinking of adding 1 tablespoon flaxseeds and 1/4 tsp cinnamon to both. Lisa

I've gone back to protein shakes (whey tech choc from Vitamin Shoppe/milk/a little ff/sf choc pudding mix and ice....yummy!!). It's really good and will stay with me for about 3 hours, then I have to have a protein bar or something. I've not tried cereal, so I can't help you with that But I have heard that some people eat it with milk with no problems. You could also try the Weight Control Oatmeal (7 grams protein and 1 sugar) I've made it and added some "Any Whey" unflavored (but has a small hint of vanilla taste) protein to it. That may stick with you longer (maybe I should try this again, too!!) Hope this helps!! Hugs, Dianne

AS FOR THE PUDDING YOU ADD TO YOUR SHAKES, DID YOU KNOW THAT THE VITAMIN SHOPPE HAS STALLONE PROTEIN PUDDINGS & CHOCOLATE IS ONE OF 3 OR 4 FLAVORS. THAT WOULD BE AN ADDED 20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN TO YOUR SHAKE IF YOU USED IT INSTEAD OF "REGULAR" PUDDING. JUST REMEMBER, YOUR BODY CAN ONLY ABSORB AROUND 30 GRAMS OF PROTEIN AT ANY ONE TIME SO OVERLOADING PROTEIN ABOVE THAT IS A WASTE. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK

Hey Rachel! I can have fruity pepples of all things! And yes, I have milk with it. I cannot eat a big bowl of it like I used to but it works for now. I have also eaten nutri grain bars. One of those fill me up. Good luck! Jodie

I eat 3 different kinds of cereal: Special K Protien Plus Kashi Go Lean and Kashi Go Lean Crunch They all have added protien and are pretty good. The Go Lean Crunch is especially good if you are wanting a sweet cereal. It has a bit more sugar, but is so balanced out with the protien and fiber, it doesn't make me dump. I use skim milk and have no problem with it. If you are worried, maybe just try it with enough milk to "wet" it and then go from there. The weight control oatmeal is good too. They have a few different flavors. I still eat eggs pretty religiously though. I haven't gotten tired of them yet, but there are some mornings when I don't have time and have to find something quick. Thanks for the suggestions. I fixed eggs this morning...it didn't go real well. It went down ok but my pouch was being a total grouch this morning. It didn't sit well and then a few minutes later I tried to take my optisource vitamins. Opps...I guess that was too much. It all came up!! No pretty!!! So, I don't know if I'll try eggs again for a while. I have had eggs other times and had no problem...guess it is just being grumpy this morning. Rachel

I eat cereal. It is ALDI brand with bananas and nuts...5 gm protein w/ 1/2 c. skim milk for a total of 9 gm. protein. I also eat grits. I make instant grants with milk & add a serving of shreaded cheese to up the protein to 13 gm protein.

MOST CEREALS ARE SO HIGH IN SUGARS BUT TRY KELLOG'S SPECIAL K PROTEIN PLUS IN THE BLUE BOX. ONLY 100 CALORIES FOR 3/4 CUP, 14 GRAMS TOTAL CARBS, 5 GRAMS OF DIETARY FIBER & ONLY 2 GRAMS OF SUGAR WITH 7 GRAMS OF "OTHER" CARBS. USE HOOD FAT FREE CARB COUNTDOWN MILK BEVERAGE & THAT WILL ALSO CUT YOUR CARBS & FAT. ADD SOME RAISINS FOR ADDED NUTRITION & YOU HAVE A HEALTHY, QUICK BREAKFAST OR SNACK THAT IS VERY FILLING MS RACHEL. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK
