Dad is home

His sugars are still up.. but they decided to let him come home yesterday morning! I had dad all packed up and ready to go when Dr. B came in at 7 I said "were ready!" and he decided to let dad go home with a sliding scale insulin thing where he administers Regular insulin every 6 hours according to his levels, and uses his normal NPH Insulin twice a day still .. so we will see how that goes! Dad has lost like 50 lbs in 2 weeks!!! I said WHOA youve got me halfway already!!! lol.. im proud of him though.. i know hes been stressed and worried and all.. but anyways just wanted to keep everyone posted!!! Jen

That is so great to hear. I have been thinking about him a lot. I know it is a relief to him to be at home. Do they think he will get off the insulin eventually? I sure hope so!!! Rachel

Hey Jen, Glad to see your father was able to go home. I've been following his progress at work. Although I can access the website at work to view, I'm unable to access to send messages. I've been saying prayers for his speedy recovery and his ability to get out of the hosp and get home. If he follows his diet and the Dr's orders w/ his insulin he should do fine.
