Stupid Question...

Ok, I have a stupid question to ask...Normally I purchase new shoes around Christmas. I have always been told that shoes are the one thing to spend money on because your feet are something that does not gain and lose weight as we do with yo-yo diets. Has anyone noticed after surgery that your feet become a different size and you have to purchase new shoes? I don't want to buy my shoes now if after the surgery I will be no longer able to wear them...Thanks for your input...

And I've gone from a size 10 to a size 9. Some people do get smaller feet, some don't. So I'd wait if I were you! Lisa

I'm 9 weeks out and I was able to buy a medium shoe the other day. I always HAD to buy wide or I couldn't get my feet in them. My shoe fit nicely in a medium this morning. Everything shrinks. Rachel

Monica, I wore 8W, now 7M. My rings don't fit, and of course all clothes sizes have changed. Even my socks are too big. I wouldn't spend a lot of money if I didn't have to. I trickle a few clothes in as I need them. Your feet will probably get much thinner. Good luck to you. Hugs, Melony

YEP!! ALL NEW SHOES!! Sorry!! I was a 10, now I am a 9 or 9.5 depending on the make and style. Oh, well, if you gain back weight you can keep your old shoes.....or buy new ones!! I think I will buy new ones!! haha Deb

Don't buy any new shoes. I had to replace EVERY SINGLE PAIR of shoes I had. I have 25 pairs in a bin waiting to be hauled to Texas for my Mom and Sisters. If you really need to buy shoes, get some cheap ones that will last for a little while. I bought a couple of $80 pairs that will not even stay on my feet now. Kathy
