Approved!!!
I almost feel like a heel being so happy about this because I can see that another member is having such a hard time. I received a letter of approval today along with a phone call from lisa J to approve my surgery. I go in Mon for pre-op stuff and then on to Dec 27. Yay! It is very heartening to see y'all rally around each other and lift each other up through hard times. I have been on other weightloss forums where they were just evil to each other and not at all supportive. You guys are awesome

Yeah!!!!
You are going to do so well, and feel great!!! Don't worry, things happen in God's not our time. So don't feel guilty, although that is sweet of you though!!
Who is your surgeon? You are going to do great!! I am having my plastics now, and is much more painful than

Anyway,
Take care,!! CONGRATS!!!!

My surgeon is Megan Baker. I get to meet her monday since I did my clinicals with Dr Morgan. My family is super supportive and will all be here that week to help with the kids and my husband. Does anyone have any advice on how to break the news to young children? I don't want to freak them out but mommy won't be able to give piggyback rides and roll around on the floor for a while

I guess that depends on how old your children are. Mine are 13 and 17, I told them it is a surgery to help me loose weight. I was upfront with them. At that age though, I think it is okay. I have already had back surgery 2 years ago, and they still have to be reminded of things that we can't do together anymore while playing.
I would suggest going to a local meeting. I have just started going on Thursday nights, and you feel the love right away from everyone.
I am so happy for you. I have had an insurance glitch, and Lisa is trying to get mine all approved for Jan 10th. I will be praying for you. Deb
Oh Wow! well, if anyone can do it, this team can. Lisa and amanda and the entire team are so great. My kids are 6 and 3 so I think my 6 year old remembers when her sister was born and I had my c-section. I agree with you though that honesty is the best policy. Kids understand more than we give them credit for sometimes. A friend and I were chatting last nite and she said " just think, your youngest will see pics of you when she gets older and won't remember that you were fat!"
YOU WILL JUST NOT BELIEVE HOW GREAT
YOUR LIFE WILL BE AFTER THIS SURGERY; IT JUST GETS BETTER & BETTER. IT'S NOT NORMALLY SMOOTH SAILING ALL THE TIME, BUT NO MATTER WHAT YOU MAY HAVE TO GO THROUGH, IT IS SO WELL WORTH IT! OF COURSE, WE PRAY THAT YOU ARE MARVELOUSLY BLESSED WITH THE EASIEST JOURNEY & SUCCESS AFTER SUCCESS GIVING YOU BACK YOUR HEALTH, HOPE & AN ACTIVE, FULFILLING LIFE!
WE'RE KEEPING YOUR SEAT ON THE "LOSER'S
BENCH" WARM FOR YOU!
GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk
