I know...I know....It looks as though changes are coming in the next three months. Italy sounds good to me. Has anyone been there? My husband is retired USAF, now DOD DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency). We would be linked to the Army Base there. Input from anyone who has been there would be greatly appreciated. Hugs, Melony

Never been there, but I'll be glad to come visit you !!!!! I bet it is beautiful, but such a long way from home. Have you had to move around much with his job?

We've always traveled and you're certainly welcome. The kids are 14,11 & 5 and I think it would be a great experience for them. I home school, so it's not a problem. Things are looking good.

We lived in Germany, and visited places. My hubby is now retired USAF too. I never got to Italy for long, but I would not hesitate moving there!! Its gorgeous there, that part is beautiful, and you get all the benefits of the base, plus the travel bennies to the other areas are great! There is a cooking school there that many Americans went to, and it was amazing. Its not forever, but what a great opportunity for you!! GO FOR IT!! Deb
