Shay and Shelly, I am so happy for you. I am the rookie here and the best advice I can give to you is to do all of your homework and get involved in a support group. Be positive way before hand. Once you have made up your mind, (and you must be the one to make up your mind, don't do this for anyone other than yourself) then don't look back. You know there will be pain, so prepair to deal with it. You know you are going to have to drink and eat a special way for the first 30 days, so prepair to do it. Go shopping before hand and have the foods you will need there at home. Some of the items I had was, the juice from some cooked lima beans & some potato soup (both frozen in little freezer cups) grits, mashed potatoes, sugar free pop sicles, sf pudding, no sugar added apple sauce, some of the different flavors of crystal lite to add to my bottles of water and some soups with no sugar in them. I also added whey protein to everything. Once you stir it up, it is gone and you can't taste it. The more protein and fluids, the better. Just don't be afraid. Pray to our God to take care of you, and he will. We will also be praying. The first 2-3 days are no pinic, but trust me, it gets better fast. JUST STAY POSITIVE. Good luck girls, I am so happy for you. Deb
