Oh my new and dear friend Kathy, I am so sorry for you and your family. I am heartbroken that your daughter has to learn about what a hard and wicked world it can be. I realized as I read your post how lucky we are on this board. I never think about other's sex or skin color or social status. I feel no hatred or racism, we are all just friends struggling together as best as we can. I hate the fact that people are profiled by their race or religion. I hate that your family is dealing with this tragedy. I only wish that the rest of the world was as kind as my OH friends. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that your upstate friends are there for you, but I'm only a car ride away or phone call away. Take time to sort this out and hold your family close to you. OMG Kathy, I am so sorry. I feel like since I have been out of it for a few days that so much has passed. Where are you from? I have always loved and been loved from the inside out. I just can't imigine people being stuck on skin color, but I know that they are...still. My prayers are with you and your family. Deb

OUR HEARTS JUST BREAK FOR YOU & YOUR FAMILY. OF COURSE WE ARE PRAYING FOR PEACE & HEALING ... &, FOR THE TRUTH TO COME FORWARD! I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. WHEN I WAS MUCH YOUNGER, WE WERE FRIENDS WITH A POLICE OFFICER ... THE GOOD ONES MAKE SUCH A WONDERFUL DIFFERENCE IN LIVES; YOU CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN GOOD COPS. BUT THE BAD ONES ARE MORE FRIGHTENING & BRUTAL THAN EVEN THE CRIMINALS. EVEN HAVING EVERYONE KNOW WERE FRIENDS OF ONE OF THEIR OWN, EVERY TIME WE WERE AROUND THEM IN A GROUP SETTING, I ACTUALLY FEARED JUST BEING IN THE ROOM WITH SOME OF THEM. WE SAW SEVERAL INCIDENTS & WERE TAKEN ASIDE & TOLD THAT "WE HAD NOT SEEN ANYTHING ... DID WE UNDERSTAND?!" THAT WAS ALL IT TOOK ... WE FOUND REASONS TO BE BUSY FROM THEN ON & UNFORTUNATELY, WE FELT WE HAD TO GIVE UP OUR FRIENDSHIP WITH OUR POLICEMAN FRIEND BECAUSE OF THE OTHERS & THEIR WAY OF COVERING FOR ONE ANOTHER NO MATTER WHAT.
