I went to Dr Bishop yesterday, he said he could do a breast lift and reduction, tummy tuck and that he could lipo my thighs (he said he wanted to do that first before doing a thigh lift and having those big scars). Said he could do all that at one time and that was great for me. I watched some videos and saw his before and after pics and they were good. His nurse has been with him 25 years and that is always a good thing. Now, I went to see the insurance lady. Because I am so tall she said the breast lift/reduction would not be covered because technically I am tall enough to carry this weight around. I was hoping for that to be covered and then I could figure out a way to pay for the tummy tuck(I thought of a benefit concert or soemthing LOL). He said he would give me a break on the lipo. My problem with getting the tummy tuck is that I have not had any rash problems. I wish I could get pics from someone elses tummy rashes to send to them and maybe it could be covered. She is going to submit it anyway and we will see what happens. Outcome does not look promising, maybe a miracle or I will win the lottery soon!!!! Patti

Patti, I know with my tummy tuck they didn't require pictures of a rash or anything. I let the PS know that I did have raw and irritated skin and that it interfered with any type of exercise because of the skin. Also with my state BCBS plan, if your tummy hangs below your pubic bone, it was an automatic approval. For my breast reduction I did have the back issues but they also measured from my collar bone to my nipples. I think that it was about 5 feet, LOL. I believe that the measurements mean a lot to the insurance companies. good luck and let me know if there's anything I can do to help you. Mary

Mary, When did you start documenting for your tummy? What if your don't have rashes, or is that yet to come with me? How should I start prepairing for my tummy tuck? Deb

Deb, I really just had irritatioin and odor (I know, TMI). I did not have to have documentation because of the fact that my tummy hung so low. In about 6 months I think that you'll be able to tell more. I've kept all of my insurance stuff for others to get help if needed. Mary
