INFO NEEDED

I paid my fee to Dr Bour last week and need to call Lacey this week to set up my first appointment. Can you tell me what to expect and how long the initial visit takes?? Also, I only had to pay $2000 instead of the $2500...I will have to pay the rest later, it is for the Optifast, how long does Dr Bour require you to do Optifast before surgery?

your first appts will more than likely be with the psychologist and nutritionist, youll take your psych evalution in a room by yourself the first visit, the next visit youll talk with the psych about your results and what to expect from surgery .. you will see dr bour around the same time then and he will discuss your options for surgery and what to expect and tell you if you need any testing prior to surgery like heart test, lung test, sleep studies.. etc. if you need them they will schedule those.. if not you will get a surgery date once insurance approves and then youll start optifast for 2-4 weeks prior to surgery. Then its the big day! (all along youll go to meetings for optifast weekly and youll have pre-surgery meeting at the dr's office and youll have pre-op test at the hospital and your EGD) Good luck! jen
