Well I live in Myrtle Beach ( well surfside beach which is right next door) and I think by the sounds of it you all are going to be darker than me...Guess I will have to find a salon here...I have almost 300 minutes at a salon in kings mtn, nc but now that i live here they will never get used....... In my opinion, I personally don't see why tanning, in moderation, would hurt you. I wouldn't use excellerators, but I do believe that tanning helps to make your skin look and feel toner/tighter. Besides, what is the difference in tanning and sitting outside at the pool with your kids. The only difference to me is that if you start tanning you are less likely to end up with a burn from the sun. I am a prime example, when I was in 4th grade I went to the river with a friends family. My mom expected her mom to watch after me. I came home with 3rd degree burns from the sun. I couldn't see what my skin felt like and in all honesty didn't know any better to ask for a sunscreen. Now I have to tan some, so that when I go out with my kids I don't end up with major sunburn. Anything in excess can harm you, but if you take precautions you are better off.

Hey Kathy! My daughter and I just joined "Sun Works" ... it's at the corner of Pelham and 14, really near you ... diagonally across from the new Bloom, in the strip mall behind the Spinx station. ANYWAY. They are running a special right now ... $99 for year's membership. That is CHEAP. The beds are new, and it's a nice little place. Thought you might want to know ... Dawn

I actually have gone there before. It is so convenient. I was going to go by there today anyway! Kathy

When I went after surgery they said to put chapstick on the scars and it would make them not darken up, I did it and it worked. Patti

I tanned in October for about a month and didn't cover anything My scars a still a little darker, but probably no less than they would have been before my cruise. Go for it!! Hugs, Dianne
