What can I expect to happen tomorrow?
Anyone give me a heads up on what to expect tomorrow? Lisa called and left a message today and said I had a Benefits class at 8 am? What is that about? I'm so nervous I hate being around people I don't know. I know I'm going to totally forget everything I wanted to ask or even bring with me. I have it all layed out but I'm leaving at 6:30 am because of the traffic and because I don't know exactly where I'm going. So I'll probally forget something I'm sure. Wish me LOTS of luck because I'm surely gonna be needing it.

Another thing. I was just informed tonight that a friend of the family had this surgery last week with Dr Baker. She had a cold that they were not aware of when they performed the surgery and now she's in ICU with pnemunia.
I know I won't be having surgery tomorrow or next week but I have HORRIBLE sinus-allergy problems and I'm always sick with this. Not exactly "Sick" but stuffy and sneezing, watery eyes etc. This is NOT seasonal allergies it's 365 days a year allergies and they DON'T go away. Will this make me not be able to have the surgery?
No,
JUst let them know about your allergies and they can treat your accordingly. I know that getting pneumonia is a risk with any surgery, I remember having to use that breathing thing to make our lungs work. As long as you keep Dr. B informed about your health, you will be fine.
I remember how nervous I was. Just think, by tomorrow night you will be done!!!
Mary
I didn't know about this benefits class either. I know at 8am he usually brings in 10-15 people to talk about the whole thing. The surgery, the cost, the pros and cons.
Its okay that you don't know anyone, none of us knew anyone either.
I had surgery on Wed. The Sunday before I felt a cold coming on. I knew my son had it pretty bad, so I went to my family dr and ask for a strong shot in the butt to knock it out of me. When I went in on Wed, It was almost gone. Just keep aware of your body and how you feel, and stay close to your dr.
