New to the area!

Hey J! Thanks for the hug, compliment...and the wave. I never thought I would move out of VA...but my hubby's job is so specific. We had a choice of coming here to SC...or him going to Japan by himself. So...here is it. I grew up in NC...moved to VA in 1990, and now here. We are building a house here...so I am hoping that will mean we will stay put for a while. My husband can retire soon and start a new job...LOL...so maybe we will stay put. Hope you get to move here soon! I have not been out that much...but what I have seen is beautiful!!! Stephanie

oh my goodness... the only thing I know about Japan is the movie... "Lost in Translation" with Bill Murray from a few years ago... I am a huge movie buff.. i really enjoyed the movie, i know a lot of folks did not though.. but I did. I think you and your hubby made the right decision... I am very interested in coastal SC, probably more southern an inland @ an hour, mostly due to what I can afford... and because I am a little bit afraid of the weather... .lol. I hope I have the courage to do this move, when all is said and done. I need to get some surgery first (PS) and then save save save!! You have been through so much, and I wish you the best. I am visiting this board a bit now, so I will hopefully get to know you and others better. Jess

Hey Dawn! I have heard several people mention the support groups...but never where the were! Thanks for letting me know! Maybe after I have this baby I will be able to go. It sounds like fun! I have been on rest basically since December due to complications. I can go out occasionally as of recently ...but I am not supposed to go out much...or do much of anything. I have gone out a few times...mostly to the dr or church in Summerville. I am even sleeping downstairs on the sofa so I don't have to do stairs. So...for the time being...I am trying to bake this baby...LOL. Thanks for the information and welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you! Stephanie
