OMG I have a waist!!!(kinda long)
Good Morning All,
For those of you that don't know, I had to have another surgery April 2 to remove MORE excess skin. Originally my doctor called the second surgery a Panniculectomy, however when he actually did the surgery, it turned into something else. End result I now have an incision all the way around and I have had skin removed from my stomach, upper and lower back. Although it sounds terrible, it really worked out in my best interest. I now have a much smoother appearance and the sagging fat in my back that caused me distress is 90% gone. For me this is success!
Fast forward 2 weeks, I woke up this morning, got dressed and discovered that at 35 years old, for the first time in my life, I have a WAIST!!! This is MAJOR- in my wildest dreams I never expected this and boy does it look good! I called a good friend of mine to ask him to come quickly and take a picture so that I can post it on my page, just in case it's a fluke !!!
This weight loss has truly been a journey, some days I never thought that it would end, however I would not trade ONE thing for all that I have gained in these 18 months. I am working on getting my mind out of the "weight loss" mode, and into the maintenance mode, however it is somewhat difficult. I seem to be stuck at the number I put in my head when I first started this journey and lived only by the BMI charts... Whatever the outcome, life is good!
Have a great day- My waist and I definitely will!!!
