Hair band fans!!

I just went to www.rickspringfield.com and they immediately linked me to a Senior Citizens old folks home website......odd Anyway-I caught a glimpse of Ricky---he's HOT. If he were a woman or if I was a man...wait, if he was a man and I a woman....no-wait----he makes me confused of my gender, If I were a woman Or if he was a woman Oh heck---he's just plain ol' HOT

I do also have a mighty crush on Rick, first concert I ever went to and I had on a blue headband with gold thread aroud it (think Olivia Newton-John in Physical) and thought I was bad ass!!! I then had my comb strategically in my back pocket and yes the feather do with aqua net. OMG Patti I would like to apply for the new open position as best friend. I am pretty good at it!!!! LOL

so uh yea.. i read this and was like who? huh? wha??? then i realized i was only like 6 when this band was at its heights.. now if it were new kids on the block id be there!!!! jen

that means I would have been 13 or 14! Just the age when i wanted to do everything, but my parents wouldn't let me do ANYTHING! I remember my sister went to see NKOTB (remember that abbreviation?) with her friend and her mother. She was like 11 or something. They wore panties on their heads becasue a local radio station said that they would pick people out of the crowd who were wearing panties on their heads and take them backstage to meet them. Funny. My 11 year old sister with a thong on her head!! LOL! And they didn't even get backstage. Ask her now and she will deny it...

I was wondering who all were hair band/heavy metal groupies on here! I figured there were a few! I was soooooooo into the 80's high-hair, tight jeans, leather jacket scene! I'm up for getting skanked out and heading to the concert! That's one of my favorite past-times...going to concerts! I saw Poison MANY years ago...in fact, CC DeVille spilled a beer on my leg (that was in the good old days when you could get backstage if you had connections!). I've never seen RATT but I'd love to! I'll need to check with the DH but he usually doesn't have a problem with me going to concerts. I'll let you know! Melanie PS. CC spilled a beer on YOUR LEG?!?!?!? What did you do to get backstage HUH? I won't tell... They haven't aged well either, but thats okay. I'm curious to see what they play like especially now after REHAB! LOL!

I don't know if I can tell you on here what it took to get back stage! Just kidding!! I wasn't a 'ho...I just had friends in the right places. It was alot easier then to get to see them. CC was "toe' up from da' flo' up" that night. Didn't get to meet Bret Michaels tho...I was highly disappointed! My friends and I always went to the Hyatt after the concerts and would sometimes meet them there...I even saw RICK SPRINGFIELD there coming off the elevator! I was a heavy metal queen! I may even still have my white leather fringed jacket...I know I still have the acid washed jeans but I know I can't get into them yet! All I need is a new pair of boots and I'll be ready to go!!
