the meeting last night..

was awesome! i hate some of yall couldnt come.. it was very enjoyable. Dr Bour just got back from Australia teaching the surgeons down there about gastric bypass and he said they put bands on anyone and everyone bc the insurance covers everyone no matter what... crazy huh! its like giving out candy down there.. "oh you need to lose 20 lbs heres a band" .. but anyways. then he showed us a video of the gastric bypass and went over that with us.. i learned some new stuff suprisingly! my dad was there he said "im glad u didnt show that to me pre-op i wouldnt of done it!" LOL then patti my dearest asked about alcohol for me since i couldnt for other reasons at the time. then we all asked him questions about anything we wanted. he was very joking and fun and had jet lag and had done 3 surgeries and 6 endoscopies in that day after flying home from australia! CRAZY i tell ya. i talked with him afterwards bc ive been having gagging nausea after eating and what feels like gallbladder attacks(i dont have a gallbladder anymore) and he thinks it might be an internal hernia and wants me to get a CT Scan. So carmen is scheduling that for me now is supposed to be calling me back with the time. *FUN* UGH I do NOT Look forward to drinking all of that barium. i think i will puke. bleh. hopefully its nothing. but better safe than sorry. i just read the story below mine about the endoscopy.. LOL Dr bour said to me "Ill do a CT scan, but im definately never doing another endoscopy on you ever again" .. mine was a nightmare .. pure nightmare! LOL I said trust me, ill never have one ever again! He also told us about 2 new doctors coming into the practice. They are "Minimally invasive surgeons" Who perform hernia repairs and stuff like that. not bariatric doctors. one starts next week.. Theres my notes for you kathy! Hope they were good lol.. hate yall couldnt come i missed yall! (P.S. we have to wear NAME TAGS now.. wtf! LOL) im gonna modify mine and put "hi my name is Jen, and im a food addict"

And....What was his response about alcohol?    I'm sure he said "party up people, you only live once...right?"  NOT!!!   Thanks for the breakdown of what happened.  I hate that I couldn't make it.  John and I had marriage counseling with a new counselor in Greenville...she was wonderful....soooooooo much better than the one we wasted our money on for 5 months.  She had us practice communication skills and talk out an issue while she mediated.  It was pretty cool and John tried so hard.  I was so proud of him to see him taking it seriously.    It was really uncomfortable but he did it because he wants to work this out.  And we both realized after the past weeks of HELL that we need someone's help.  Ok enough about that.  Girl, when are we gonna ever do lunch???? omg i just spit my water out of my mouth.. when i read what you wrote about the therapist.. i thought you wrote "We sat there and talked through a problem while the therapist sat there and meditated.. "  so im imagining this shrink sitting there cross legged and fingers out saying "ohmmmm" while yall are fighting like cats and dogs.. lmao! i just re read and saw it says MEDIATED.. im a dork..  ANYWAYS LOL HE said that he is sending his 18 yr old off to college next week. and he knows if he told him to "NOT DRINK" that would make him do it more.. so he prefers to say "Drink responsibly if you have to, and if you have ANYTHING to drink you call me to pick you up, never drink and drive and dont drink excessively" or something to that effect.. he said of course he cant tell us to drink. but if we chose to, then dont go out and over kill it and get plastered because we get drunk alot faster and longer than normal ppl now. and the empty calories are bad too.. and he was afraid of addiction transfer of course. .that was his biggest issue with it. becoming dependant on something else besides the food addiction we have/had.  YES We need to do lunch before we know it , school is going to be back in! WTH .. lol.. seems like yesterday it got out! and we havent done ANYTHING Together! .. im waiting for carmen to call me and let me know when i have a CT this week.. ugh.. and i have to take karington to testing on thursday, at OAKLAND thank GOD.. maybe thats one step closer to her being approved for the transfer.. but anyways. you gonna be around thurs? i would have the 4 yr old with me though. .LOL! call me sometime..  jen

ok carmen just called.. CT is tomorrow at 2, have to be there at 12:30.. and NPO after 10am.. UGH ill be Hungrayyy lol.  i guess tomorrow lunch is Out! friday wont work either michele wont be in the office.. so its thursday MAYBE... probably with karington though. call me sometime jen EDIT!!! OKay michele wont be here thursday not friday.. erghhh
