Welcome to the SC board. You will find a lot of support here in the upstate and we invite you to join us anytime we get together. It will be a pleasure meeting you. I'm the oldest in our group, 56,so age doesn't matter to any of us, we all have fun no matter what our age. I had the RNY but started out wanting the lap band, until I heard about it, then decided to go with the RNY instead. I felt it was better suited to my needs because of the fact I have a hard time losing weight, not just keeping it off. Take care and the best of luck to you.
