I have just 1 week.....

I have 1 week from today til my surgery. I've got alot of mixed emotions going on here. I'm nervious, anxious, happy and at least I know I'll be in good hands. Thanks Dr. Bour.     Teresa M.

CONGRATS!!  I told you it would go by fast.  You have lost sooooooooooo much pre-op !! your face is so thin!  You go girl!  The surgery is the easy part.....Take one day at time...it gets better. You are looking good.  How much have you lost pre-op.? (60??)..You look like you've lost 100 lbs already! You'll do great and you'll be on the losers bench before you know it! Angela

Hi Angela, my old avatar picture was made in Sept. 07. I've lost about 50 lbs. since that pic. Barbara made the new pic today. Thanks I feel better too. I've got about 100 more. I know the surgery will help me with that. Teresa M.

Hey Teresa   Yes Dr. Bour is great and yes to all the emotions. I Just had my surgery Feb 19 and came home the 21 and Im still having some mixed emotions But Im Losing Weightand that is what it is all about I am also feeling better each day. for myself it took a good 3 days to start feeling better before that I kept asking myself what did I do. I wont lie it hurt! but that will go away I promise  also me and my drain hate each other and the clear liquid sucks the best I have found is the peach mango pro 15 and I add SF kool aid just the mix and a splenda but for me it is hard to get in all my proteins but Im improving  I go Thursday  to be put on full Liquids which adds more liquids  Now that I have said all that, would I do it again so far YES the whole program has been a learning experience that will stay with me and has also helped my family in their eating habits hubby has lost 20 ibs  Teresa emotions will get you but I know you can do it if you need anything or have any questions feel free to email me  good luck and God Bless

Teresa -- emotions are normal at this point.  Hang in there...you will be fine.   Yes, it is hard at first, but you get better every day and you will never regret this decision...you will do GREAT!

How exciting for you to be this close to changing your life. Your mixed emotions are perfectly normal, as all of us have been through the same feelings ..... I know I sure went through a slew of them during the 3 months prior to surgery. Even afterwards you will go through all of the same emotions and you might even ask yourself "WTF have I done" lol. Just remember it all gets better with time and your using the best bariatric surgeon in SC, just do what they tell you and you will do great.
