Hit my first bump .. totally confused. PLEASE HELP

Okay, Don't panic, No offense to her, but Joyce is an idiot in my book. I had to do everything myself. I found out that Joyce was faxing my paperwork to the wrong number, and I got the number from Tricare and then called Joyce and BLUNTLY told her..."here is the number, they said they never received it, put it to attention to.... and she is waiting now!!!" That is what I had to do. I called back to Tricare to confirm it got there, and it did. FINALLY Then they had to put me to a 3rd level approval because of previous surgery, so Joyce is pretty much useless...and I found out that she has someone else, Lisa I think, who does the faxing. You may have to get everything from her and do it yourself, but I did not have to, but Joyce is crazy. Ignore her and make her do her job correctly. Well, I know that sounds nasty, but I called that lady every single day, and remember, she takes off on Fridays, so do your calling tomorrow. Good Luck and let me know how it turns out. I find that Tricare is correct 9 out of 10 times, so listen to them, not Joyce...she probably has you confused with someone else...duh, she is ditzy. That is a warning so, just get real serious about your phone calls and take names, times, and ask for phone numbers and Tricare actually faxed me the copy of the approval as well as Joyce, cause I did not trust her...would you? PS, I don't remember the phone number...but I should after I called it 3000 times. If you call the 866 number, I think, then keep pressing 0, and get a live person, ask to speak to the nurses who approve these things, I finally got a number for the approvals after asking so many people who to talk to. The nurse would then tell me and after that, I called her every single day. The online thing is useless, just call, and then ask them what number to fax it to?? Also, ask them for the name, and to who to put it to attention to. Then, tell them you will have it faxed, and call Joyce, tell her that "jane doe" is waiting, or whoever and the fax goes directly to "jane doe". Then call back Jane doe and confirm it. I had to do that. It was crazy. My surgery was a whole month later than it could have been because Joyce doesn't care. She has 30 people a day to approve, so be on top of it. Call Tricare first thing in the morning and get the CORRECT phone numbers, and names and make sure you are speaking with someone higher up than the telephone operator. You will get it approved, I was lower BMI than you! I was a 40, barely, and had diabetes, and previous surgery on my stomach. The medical director for Tricare called Dr. Byrne, but he never spoke to him, and after me calling everyday 3 times a day, no kidding, 9 am, 12 noon and 4pm for updates, that is the times to call for updates, they finally told me one morning at 7am when I called that it just came back approved. Just get real tough with them, Joyce especially, but stay polite, she likes to feel in control, and then just tell everyone at Tricare what is going on, get them on your side, you gotta work em, and that will help.
