So what now?
I had my surgery on the 20th of December and have been doing pretty good with the liquid diet. I am fixing to start the " normal food" part and I am not sure exactly what to start eating. Any suggestions on what to start out with on the next phase? I would appreciate any advice you guys have to offer.Thank you!
CONGRATULATIONS & WE'RE SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE DOING WELL!!!!!!!!!! HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS? ARE YOU FEELING BETTER HEALTH-WISE?
I USED CREAMED SOUPS WITH EXTRAS ADDED TO THEM ... LIKE CREAM OF SHRIMP SOUP WITH SALMON, TUNA, OYSTERS, CLAMS OR SHRIMP ADDED ... OR, CREAM OF BROCCOLI WITH MUSROOMS & FROZEN BROCCOLI PIECES ADDED ... THAT KIND OF THING.
I ALSO DID VERY WELL ON FISH OF ANY KIND BECAUSE IT IS SOFT & FLAKEY. SOME LADIES MENTIONED TUNA OR CHICKEN SALAD BUT BE CAREFUL THAT THERE IS NOT TOO MUCH MAYO OR IT IS FAT FREE BECAUSE EXCESSIVE FAT PRODUCTS COULD UPSET YOUR POUCH.
I ATE S-F POPCICLES, ICE CREAM BARS & FUDGECICLES FOR MY TREATS.
TO MAKE SURE I GOT MY PROTEIN, I USED STALLONE PROTEIN PUDDINGS (= 20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN) & PROFECT PROTICA (2.7 OZ = 25 GRAMS OF PROTEIN) ...

OTHER LADIES HAVE EATEN YOGURT, THINNED MASHED POTATOES (BUT BE CAREFUL NOT TO EAT TOO MANY WHITE CARBS), OATMEAL, COTTAGE CHEESE, S-F JELLO & I ATE A SMALL AMOUNT OF FRUIT (MANDARIN ORANGE IS MY FAVORITE ... JUST NOT TOO MUCH IN THE BEGINNING EVEN THOUGH WE'RE ALLOWED THE NATURAL SUGAR IN FRUITS & VEGES, YOUR POUCH MAY NOT BE READY FOR IT UNTIL SEVERAL MORE WEEKS).
