I JUST BOUGHT 4 WEEKS OF OPTISOURCE VITAMINS (MADE FOR GB PATIENTS) AT WALGREENS & ORDERED 4 WEEKS OF VISTA VITAMINS FROM bariatriceating.com. THEY SHOULD BE HERE THIS WEEK. I'M GONNA TRY EACH & SEE HOW I FEEL. IT'S GOTTA BE BETTER THAN I FEEL NOW.
I READ THAT THE VISTA VITAMINS CAN MAKE YOU NAUSEOUS BECAUSE THEY ARE SO STRONG ... IT SAID TO START WITH 1 CAPSULE IN THE MORNING & AT NIGHT & INCREASE BY 1 TWICE A DAY EACH WEE****IL YOU ARE UP TO THE 4 & 4. IT ALSO SAID TO TAKE THEM ON AN EMPTY STOMACH (NOT WITH TEA OR COFFEE) & THEN EAT SOMETHING AFTER TAKING THEM & THAT SHOULD HELP WITH ANY STOMACH DISTRESS ONE MIGHT GET.
OH GOOD FOR YOU ON BREAKING YOUR STALL ... SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS A "NORMAL" ONE ... NOT THAT LONG, WAS IT, MS DEB? I'VE HAD SEVERAL OF A WEEK OR 2 BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS ONE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT DR B SAYS ABOUT YOUR INTAKE & IF HE SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT CHANGING/INCREASING YOUR INTAKE TO BREAK STUBBORN STALLS. I PURCHASED 3 DIFFERENT FLAVORED PROTEIN SHAKE PRODUCTS & ANY WHEY NON-FLAVORED PROTEIN PRODUCT (I THINK YOU'VE MENTIONED THAT TO ME BEFORE); THEY SHOULD ARRIVE THIS WEEK. I'M ALSO GOING TO THE VITAMIN SHOPPE & GET SOME OF THOSE PROTEIN BARS MS BRITT LIKES; THEY'RE VERY LIGHT & MY POUCH SEEMS TO TOLERATE THEM BETTER THAN THE "HEAVY" ONES.
I READ ON bariatriceating.com THAT PROTEIN FOODS LIKE FISH, MEAT & POULTRY HAVE 7 GRAMS OF PROTEIN PER 1 OUNCE ... SO 1 OUNCE OF ANYTHING IS 7 GRAMS, 2 = 14 GRAMS, 3 = 21 GRAMS & SO FORTH. GOOD RULE OF THUMB TO REMEMBER! I HAVEN'T TRIED TURKEY BURGERS; BUT I HAD SOME CHICKEN SALAD WITH MS BRITT & MY POUCH LIKED IT MUCH BETTER THAN MORE TEXTURED MEATS LIKE STEAK ... SO, HERE'S TO GETTING IN MORE PROTEIN & WHEN I BREAK THIS STALL ... YOU'LL HEAR ME WHOOPIN' & HOLLERIN' NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE!
WE'RE GONNA TRY TO BE AT THE LCBBuddies MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT; IT REALLY DEPENDS ON HOW I/WE FEEL. I'M STARTING THE NEW VITAMINS, INCREASED FLUIDS (MS B SAYS SHE DRINKS 100-140 OUNCES ... OH MY GOSH, YOU'D HAVE TO TIE ME TO THE POT!), INCREASED PROTEINS & CALORIES & A LITTLE EXERCISE.

I have to do a yearly 24 hr. urine test because of diabetes and they give you a 128 oz. container to collect it in. By the way I was filling it, I thought about getting a second one in the afternoon, but was too lazy to make the 20 mile round trip to the hospital to get another one. LOL, I thought. I didn't really think I'd need it. Well, sure enough, by about 10 pm. I had to start using an empty water jug I had and ended up filling that one up about 1/3. You should have seen the look the lab tech gave me the next day. And I wasn't even pushing fluids! So, I know I'm getting them in. I didn't realize my bladder could hold so much. I guess that's more than you wanted to know, huh?

Thanks so much to whomever wrote all the info on the protein. I am going to go on a 3 day protein binge and no carbs, to see if I can up my weight loss too.
I had A LOT of stress over the past few weeks since my kitty died, and then my immune system dropped, I kept on my vitamins, and also tried to eat, but I couldn't eat much, and lost 5 lbs during that 3 days. The worst part was the lowered immune system hurt me and I got shingles again, and that hurt bad.
I have thought of asking for a script of the b-12 vitamin shots as I used to take them or (give them to myself) 2 times a week and it really makes a huge difference.
