I was up all last night coughing, headache and leg cramps..I didn't know what to take so I took some of my Loritab elixer for the pain..I don't have anymore, so wondering what I should get? Help, I'm miserable!

Janet I haven't had my RNY yet but from all that I've read it would probably be best if you checked with your surgeon or his/her nurses to find out what you should use. I'm just wondering if you could stomach thera-flu. I love the stuff... it's great for flu symptoms. Not sure what the ingredients are so you should check that out first. Just remember bedrest and lots of fluids. WILL BE PRAYING THAT YOU "GET WELL SOON" Suuz

We can take any tylenol products and I think they make a Tylenol Flu formula. I hopr you feel better! Britt

Thanks Suz and Britt for the well wishes.. I can't remember being this ill..is awful. I think the leg cramps are the worse! My throat is sore now too from all the coughing. I called she surgeon's office first thing this morning and you are right, Britt..Tylenol Flu formula was recommended. Thanks again! Jan

Good Lord, the cure is worse than the cause... My husband brought me some Tylenol cold and flu, Sever, night time medicine...the blue stuff..nastiest stuff in the world..I fought the bed all night long with nighmares! I'll never take that stuff again for as long as I live..POOOOIE! reminds me of a combo of mouth wash and aqua velva after shave..gives me the shivers thinking about it.. I had some Dimetap children's cold elixer so I took that this morning and it works on the sinus and coughing..but the leg cramps are easing up on their own.. Maybe the plain old Tylenol Flu Formula is ok..but let this be a warning on that nighttime stuff..
