I live in Bluffton and so far I have not heared of one. I am going to Savannah but I don't like it very much. By the way, I had Lapband surgery 2 month ago and would like to start a group in the area. Let me know if you are interested. Ellen

I have a question about procedures to get insurance approval. I went to a clinic in lexington, SC, which my insurance, Cigna told me was a Center of Excellence. Anyways, I went to the seminar, I made an appointment, saw the doctor, saw the psychologist, gave doctor info on the dr. who did the 6 months weight management supervision, and my other doctors. But I have never sent any papers to Cigna, the doctor's office said they will do that. Yesterday I called to see the status on my surgery journey and they said they were waiting for Insurance approval. Is that the way it works? Because I have read here about people who send themselves all the info, so can someone who has Cigna tell me about their experiences, please?

I am so excited...I attended Dr. Bour's seminar a year ago and have worked so hard to get this far. All of you have been so inspiring and full of wisdom. THe next four weeks will be anxiety ridden I am sure but I will get through it. I welcome any advice !!

Dr. Eric Bour did my surgery.  His office has support groups pre surgery and post surgery on a weekly basis.  I don't know about any others.
