Hey Carroll,

I'm not in Columbia, but I'm over in Sumter! Nor do I have Medicade, but I wanted to say hello - and welcome you! I'm 30 years old, with two boys - ages 6 1/2 and almost 5. I had my surgery when we still lived in WA state (near Seattle), and am just over a year out now. This has been a FANTASTIC journey for me! Please let me know if you have any questions. I go to Columbia once in a while...maybe we can get together sometime! And if you ever head over this way to Sumter (yeah, I know - for what right? LOL)...

Topic: Dr. Rowitz (Hospital Question)

Do you know if you have to pay your out-of-pocket exspence before the surgery or do they bill you later. I have met my deductable (all but $150) and am wondering if ill need this money before hand. I have herd that the hospital does ask for it. However whhen I called I did not get a strait answer.

Thanks, Jill! I have never been up the East coast...actually never seen the Atlantic ocean yet - even though i've been to myrtle beach to go shopping LOL...by the time we finished at the stores we needed to hit, it was too late LOL. Though I would love to go up to Virginia...DC, up to NY and New England states. I'm thinking ROAD TRIP! LOL.

Well, if you do.... there are a LOT of great folks in Charleston and you will love it!! Maybe even by then I will be there again..... ::) Right now my boyfriend and I are in Norfolk, VA.

Dalzell is right near Sumter...and Shaw AFB. Hubby is in the Air Force and we just moved here in October. I haven't made it to Charleston yet...hope to do so in the next couple of months.

So far we love it here!
