I would fight for what you want! If I could do it all over again I would have chose to have the DS and not the RNY. Just my opinion though there are those here that LOVE their pouches.

It's not a sign of weakness to seek help when you need it.
The only sign of weakness is NOT to seek the help you need.

Topic: One Year Pictures!
Hey everyone!
I just had hubby take some one year pictures of me today - yes, it's a little bit late - by about a week to 10 days LOL....
My high weight was 315 - leaving the hopsital I was 309. And today I am 160 pounds!
I went from a size 26/28, 4x/5x to wearing a size 4/6 (in the pictures - wearing my new Old Navy size 4 jeans!), and size M/L shirts (wearing M in the pic).
Here's the front view...you can go to my profile to see more!

Topic: Deciding whether to have the bypass now since the sleeve was denied

I was denied from having the sleeve and now I am trying to decide whether to have the bypass or to fight for an appeal. I don't know much about the different things with the bypass so I need to research this a little more. I was ok with the sleeve but no I am thinking maybe the bypass would be better because at least if something were to go wrong it could be reversed. I just don't know. I am just confused and trying to figure out what to do next and what to decide.

Topic: RE: Question
Mary pretty much covered it, as it's different for everyone. I've had a few cases of dumping syndrome recently, and I have to say, IT SUCKS. First time was because I ate some wafers that I thought were sugar and fat free. They weren't. It hit me so hard all I could do was climb onto the couch and pass out for about 2 hours. Then I had a few nights of eating soup and I put some cheese in it each night and that made me have the ds, too.

Topic: RE: Great News on the Diet (for me)
Congrats! It really does feel good when you lose weight, huh? I lost a whole lot of weight a few years ago by eating right and working out every day. I lost so much weight, that I'm ashamed to say exactly how much. Let's just says I went from a XXXL to an L in about a year's time. Unfrotunately, I gained most of it back between back surgeries. After my surgery though, I've lost over 30 pounds so far! I figure that's not bad, considering it's not even been a month since my surgery.

Topic: RE: GETTING FILTER INSERTED IN THE MORNING
I don't know anything about that filter thing, as I didn't have to get one, but congrats on finally getting a date! Now you're probably going to be anxious and nervous up until the date. ;)
