Topic: RE: Anyone in the Greenwood or Anderson area??
Well, there was a guy that had the surgery done the day after I did, who doesn't live far from me. He and his wife said they'd love to find one closer, as well. So if everyone here is serious about it, I'll talk to Dr. Ross' office soon and ask what we need to do to get one started.

Topic: RE: problems with the liquid protein
Terri,
Every aspect of this surgery and diet is different for everyone. There's really no way to tell which phase is going to be better or worse for you, until you try it. Personally, I'm up to Stage 3 and I haven't had any problems with the food as far as intake is concerned. But on the same hand, I've run across people that are 5-6 weeks out and cannot hold anything down. So, it's just different for everyone.
Now, the only problem that I've had yet is that as of today, I haven't lost any signifcant amount of weight. The doc swears that I will, to just be patient, but honestly, at this point, I'm not seeing the benefits of having this surgery. I sisncerely hope this wasn't a waste of my time, since I looked so forward to this and worked so hard to finally get here.

Topic: RE: Bariatric Surgery being started at St. Francis Hospital.

I went to Dr. Bour's seminar and I really liked it but couldn't afford it so I decided to find another surgeon that would do it without the fee. I am going to Columbia. They don't charge you a fee at all and they take my insurance so I am now having surgery the 6th of March and they too are a center of excellence.

Dr. Bour lets you pay the fee in installments after you put 500 down. The fee is 2000.00 now.

I live at Lake Greenwood on the Waterloo Side and I am having the procedure done March the 6th and would love a support group near me because I have to go to Columbia right now. I have a friend that had it done through the same group that I am going to and she probably would like a support group close to home too.
Maybe if enough people are interested in our area we could get one started.

Topic: RE: GOT A DATE FOR MY TUMMY TUCK

If you don't mind me asking when did you have the sleeve and did you have a large "apron" as one lady called it? You look very young in your pick so that is why I am asking. I am having it done on March 6th and I am worried about excess skin after I lose weight. A lot of people say not to worry about it but I just am not sure. I can use all the advice I can get.
Thanks,
