Kim,
You are exactly one week behind me. I left my Old KY home last Tuesday afternoon and had my surgery with Dr. Dyer on Wednesday morning at 7. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30, so you may be his second surgery of the morning. My surgery went well. There were a few complications and it took a little over 4 hours in the OR, but things are getting better every day. I came home Saturday afternoon and have been staying alone since then. Not happy with that situation, but it was that or have my daughter and two grandchildren (a rowdy 3 year old and a 3 month old) here as house guests with me. Figure I have all I can say grace over taking care of myself and it is going pretty well. I have a friend who comes by a couple of times a day and cleans my drains and helps with that post op stuff. I go back to Dr. Dyer's office on Thursday and will hopefully get the other drain out. Every day gets a little better and you will do great. I will be thinking of you as you are going through this journey. If I have the time and can muster the energy I'll come over and check on you Thursday. I was a long way from home and it meant a lot for someone to come down to see me. Wishing you a very smooth surgery and even smoother recovery. Kathy
Lord I ask that you watch over Kim as she journeys on to the next phase by having surgery on Wednesday. I ask that you be with her and her family during this time, guide the surgeon's hands so that there are no complications. She has come so far on her journey to get to this oint, give her the strength and may her recovery be uncomplicated. The first few days after surgery are the hardest to get thru. Give her the peace and rest that she will need to get stronger. In this I ask in your name, Amen.
Best to you, Love Kathy
