gotta weigh in here! Costellini Cinna bliss is my all time fav (I have this thing for cinnamon).  It is like the choc syrup but cinnamon!    I order it thru BE. Davinci has several.  I am not a fruity fav but I do keep raspberry.  I love to make a choc rasp truffle shake.  I use the gourmet whey dark choc and raspberry syrup and sometimes I will throw a couple of fresh rapberries in there. I also love the Malibu Rum flavor.  I put it in my Gourmet whey pina colada breeze and pretend I am having a real pina colada. my most used tho is the Spice syrup.  I put it in my coffee every day and in my shakes.  It gives it a yummy cinnamony flavor with some other spices.  IT is great in vanilla or choc.  So it really depends on what it is you like.  I use the davinci syrups in my crystal light too.  Rasp in lemonade is to die for. This is just the tip of the ice berg but I am starting to crave so gonna go make me a shake.

Raspberry Crystal Lite is to die for.  So is the low fat yogurt peach smoothie at Sonics.  I tried to make it myself, but the blender my son loaned me wouldn't chop up the peaches.  But I have them to take with me to try at my friends while I'm in the east side of the state.

Have you looked up the nutritional value of that smoothie?  The Strawberry-Banana Fruit Smoothie, 14 oz size, is 440 calories; 0 fat; 108 carb; 76 grams sugar and only 1 gram protein.  They don't list the peach smoothie on their website but I don't imagine there would be much of a difference. I know you have said that sugars don't bother you but at 1 gram of protein, this is not a good option for any of us. You would actually get more protein and fewer carbs from a vanilla shake of the same size.

Hi Since it's plain lowfat yogart with fresh peaches and ice, which is all that is in it.  It should be healthier.  I made one the other day and couldnt tell a bit of difference.  It's very refreshing to me since I have such a hard time getting certain foods like just yogart to stay down.   I am in need of a nap.  I am totally drained.  I get that way when my blood counts are too low, they are the worst, that's how low they are.  The surgeon knew they were low and should have given me a pint of blood.  With all the bleeding I have done, and all the draining of blood which in the last week it's been over a pint just from the drain tubes,  plus having surgery, I tire out so fast.  I still need to finish packing up my room, and the linen closet before I move over to the other apartment.  I imagine, the lowfat peach has more protein in it then the strawberry banana one does.  The yogurt that I bought yes is high in carbs and sugar even if it is lowfat.  But one cup is 10 grams of protein and add to that one diced and peeled peach, and it's great to have.  I love it, but wouldn't want it everyday.  It's a treat to have once in a while. Off to rest.  Just took my pain pills, and I'm getting loopy.   Later, love Kathy

Sonic uses frozen yogurt in their yogurt smoothies. It's like fat free ice cream.  If you are making it yourself at home and using real yogurt, you are getting more protein than the smoothies from Sonic. I think you're better off making them at home, both nutrition wise and cost wise. You can also get fat free yogurt that is low in sugars. Kroger's CarbMaster brand is 80 calories; 1.5 grams fat; 4 grams carb; and 12 grams protein per 6 oz container. Why didn't they just give you some blood in the ER? The ER doc could have ordered it.

The University Medical Center here in Lebanon was treating me for a staph infection.  I told them my blood counts were very low.  But they never even collect any blood from me.  Just gave me a pain shot, an antibiotic, and sent me home.  Here's what my Oncologists office found out today when they drew my blood.  The surgeon should have given me blood knowing I was too low.

Normal ranges for red blood counts:  4.04-6.13  mine is 2.92;  Hemaglobin 12.2-18.1 mine is 8.4; Hemocrit is 37.7-53.7 mine is 26.7.  Platlets 142.424 mine is 153,  had the platlets been down to 84 like it was 3 weeks ago, I would be getting a blood transfusion.  She knew my blood counts were low, but didn't give me any blood as she didn't expect much blood, surgery is surgery and there is bleeding.  I won't go back to the Lebanon hospital unless it's life threatening like a bee sting.   The lowfat yogart is still high in carbs, but even though we shouldn't have high carbs, Dr. Colquitt knows I don'****ch that, because one they don't bother me, but also it's to keep me from losing more weight.  as my thyroid reversed and instead of being underactive causing me to gain weight, it is now over active and causes me to lose weight.  I only have skin on my bones except for my thighs.  I don't eat everything that is high in carbs, just the occational twice or three times a week only.  I go more the protein in foods and it doesn't matter what the carbs are.  Remember what is bad for one person, is good for me.  Even my oncologist doesn't want me to lose anymore.  So I bounce between 116-120.  That keeps everyone off my back.   Save A Lot has the lowfat yogart in peach also.  It's 2/1.00 high in carbs and sugar but also high in protein.  One a day isn't going to make me sick.   Need to finish packing up to move into the other apartment tomorrow.  Mostly the bedroom and linen closet and it will be done for the most part.  Seeing as I don't have much as my things are in storage, it's just a slow process.  My thighs are killing me between the blisters from the tape and the staph infection.  But the pain is the worst.  I totally regret having them done.  I could have lived with them except for everything was too big in the waist just to get them over the thighs. But even though they are tight right now, I can't walk standing up straight I look at the ground,  I know that once I get back to walking, there's just enough fat to make them sag some more.  I am hoping to be able to start going to a gym after the first of the year.   Love ya, Kathy
