Alex noticed! Wow moment...
This was quite fun! I was at church tonight and was just standing there talking with a friend. She was checking kids in through our security system, and I was keeping her company. Well, 2 boys came up, one got his sticker, the second was waiting for his.
Now, you have to realize that this child is one that you might refer to as spastic. (I personally think he's got undiagnosed ADHD -- and that's coming from a mom who has an ADHD son!)
Anyway, you would never even know this child slowed down enough to know your name, let alone notice any particulars about you. Well, he looks at me and says, "Are you losing weight?" I just about fell on the floor! I gave that child the biggest hug! It was so sweet of him to notice! so the next time I'm feeling down, I'll just remind myself, "Alex noticed!"
Other people are noticing too. I think kids are more likely to say something because they aren't as afraid of saying the wrong thing and hurting someone's feelings. You are doing great!!
We all need an Alex in our life.
