Well, I really could use a shoulder, a ear and lots of prayers
Tina,
If you are having doubts about lap band then I would check in to maybe another doctor who would do the RNY with medicare. I think Dr Melvin at Vandy does it but you can double check. I would not settle for just anything. If RNY is what YOU truly wnat then I say go for it. Maybe someone here knows of another doctoir that would do RNY with Medicare. I truly wish you the best. ( Hugs)

I am sorry that you are having so many insurance problems. I feel that the patient should be the one to decide, not their insurance. I get so frustrated with people who need this life saving procedure, and insurances deny, deny, deny some more...
I hope that you are able to find a surgeon who will do the bypass. I tend to agree that people who have more weight to lose would benefit more from the gastric but that is my opinion only, not a medical opinion. I surely hope you are able to have the procedure that you want and need and feel is right for you.
I know you will find one!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!
You know, I am very blessed, and the old devil has been working on me.
I feel that God has chosen the path that I am on. It has nothing to do with Dr. Morton.....His staff and the hospital is the best place for me and I know that.
I just lost sight of the true goal and that is to be healthy and happy and to be better.
I can do it, and I need to apply myself much more and do the work that needs to be done.
I spoke to my sister after I had a great conversation wtih our very own Diane.
My sister helped show me that the route that I am on is the best one and it will make me truly work toward a goal and I will be happier and healthier in the long run.
This is IF Dr. Morton agrees to do my surgery. (Which I really hope he does.) I will see him on Tuesday of next week, so please keep me in your thoughts and prayers and I really do appreciate my OH family!!!!
