Phil paperwork update

All paperwork is in, everything is a go. We meet with Dr. Morton on 08/26...that is only 5 days after my 1 year surgervisary, and then we will have a surgery date after that for him. When he starts his two week liquid "fun" week........lol I'm gonna do it with him, heck it can only help me too. He is starting to get a little overwhelmed and that is too be expected. He was happy to hear from Laura last night that he can still drink his coffee. He has allready cut way down on his diet cokes. He is trying to start the not drinking during meals, he is having a little trouble with that, but at least he is trying. Hopefully with him starting that now it will be a piece of cake (well maybe not) when he "has" to stop drinking with meals. Cheryl

Good luck to Mr. Phil...Cheryl, I know you know from experience, but the things that seem impossible such as not drinking with meals etc etc become habit very quickly...Tell him to hang in there....Have a great day!!

Wow girlie, liquid diet, does bring back memories. HEHE. Do we need to have the last meal thingy , like we had for me? HUH! Just let him know that overwhelmed is the norm. and everyone does it.There is no pros. in this business.  I have learned to put my calcium in my mouth after meals, it last for 30- 40 min. then I am good to go. We too drank alot of cokes and diet drinks, and just went cold turkey. It was hard but very much worth it. The end results is truly a given life. HOORAY FOR PHIL!!!! I am so glad to hear the news. You two will be great together! I remember all those uncertain feelings, but once you have that surgery....it all just becomes second nature. Not to mention he has you darling to help him! It was wonderful to see you last night. You are in my prayers girl.

Cheryl, I'm so happy for you two. In spite of all of the bad there is something good behind the clouds after all. Things are looking up!
