Update
Hey all. It's so exciting to see so many people here getting ready to have surgery in the next couple of weeks. I am so hopeful.
I called Vandy today to check to see if everything had been sent to the insurance and indeed it has! It was all faxed to Aetna on the 22nd.
I called Aetna to see if they got it, but they said it doesn't show up in the computer and that sometimes it takes a couple of days for them to scan all the documents into the computer files.
But, I should know within three weeks. At least that's what Vandy told me. I hope!!!!
Wish me luck. And God's grace to make it until then
Rachael
Good luck Rachel!
I'm in that boat with ya right now. Paperwork goes to BCBS next week. Susan at BCBS told me yesterday you usually know either yes or no within about two weeks. She said, and I quote, "Call us every day to check on the status. We don't mind. It won't bug us at all." That's good customer service...lets see if it holds up!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Marianne

Hi Rachael, and to all that has posted here, I wish each of you get approved and be able to lose the weight as those prior to you. I have no regrets, just wish I could have had it sooner before the leukemia was found. But right now I'm at a plateu, and back on liquids. Between physical therapy 3 times a week and getting my Tony Little Gazelle back today, that gives me 3 more days to burn calories and make muscles. Sunday is my rest day. I did find a bra last night, fit perfectly too. My chest was 51 inches around and a 44D fits without feeling like my lungs are being tightened. I also got a shirt in a 1x from 3-4x. I did try on 2 x and some were too tight in the arms where my wings are but I am just tickled to find a bra that fits after almost 3 years. I want each of you to feel that great feeling. It's a rush to the head to try on clothes after some weight goes off. Remember yard sales and flea markets are starting, so get rid of the clothes you know you won't be wearing next winter. I did that last year 2004, now I can fit in jeans that I couldn't wear last year. Have fun ladies and I pray y'all get approved, so you can enjoy watching those pounds and inches just go away.
I love y'all, Kathy
