Yep gotta ask more ???'s
Good afternoon Kat~
I do not count carbs...I know I should, but I am still losing so I must still be doing something correctly...right? I am sure I eat too many carbs, but my dr. and nut. said I am fine.
I eat the South Beach Diet protein bars. The only flavor I like is cranberry almond. I have tried them all and this one really works. I have one a day for an am snack here at work. I usually do not have them on the weekends unless we are at Busch Gardens or out someplace that does not have healthy foods. Then I pack one or two in my bag to have.
Nope...no recipe's but would love to see any!
I have one shake or shooter every morning worth 25-28 grams of protein depending on what kind I choose. I have string cheese, cottage cheese (please note that I had not tried this until about a month ago due to the way it looked...I thought it would taste just as nasty...but decided to bite the "curd" and try it. I can not believe what I had been missing all these years. I am now addicted and have some of that every day...usually the breakstones doubles or I make my own with fruit. I do not like it without fruit), yogurt and/or pudding (sometimes with added unflavored unjury) and meat or lunch meat rolls.
I eat something every two hours from 6:30 am to 5 pm every day. I am hypoglycemic so I have to or I will pass out when my blood sugar drops too much. It may be just a piece of string cheese (7 gr. of protein in each one) but I have a small something. I only have one "sit down meal"and that is dinner but I do eat lunch here at my desk at work. That is usually cottage cheese!
Talk to you soon!
Tammy

1.) I don't count carbs, just protein and calories. Good carbs: soy protein, vegs and fruit. Bad carbs: potato chips, pancakes, rice, spaghetti, even too much popcorn, potatoes (says she as she sits eating boiled new potatoes with Non Fat Feta Cheese, Asiago and Spinach mixed in)
.
2.) Yes I eat protein bars, cut into small pieces so that they are like pieces of candy. Favorites are Power Crunch and So. Beach. So. Beach are denser and take longer to digest 20g protein per bar, 210 cal. Power Crunch nice yummy wafer-type cookies, 14 g protein, 170 cal. I also eat small pieces of MET-RX PROTEIN PLUS and Detour bars. I do not eat them in excess either. I never eat more than 1/2 bar at a time. My stomach just won't hold any more than that.
3.) No recipes.
4.) I get the majority of my protein from Syntrax Nectar, which I love. I never know what meat my nose will allow. I am able to eat cottage cheese and non fat sugar free Dannon Plain yogurt all the time, and do. I get between 85 and 125 g protein per day.
5.) I eat 5-7 times a day, very small amounts. I try real hard not to exceed 800 cal/day. I wouldn't even call what I eat a meal. It is more like feedings numerous times a day. The feedings are often protein drinks, a few nuts or pieces of protein bar. Every evening I do indulge in several sf popsicles or nas fudgesicles. They are my treat to me.
