Bless you, my dear! (doing my best queen wave...) New? Well, yea. Got my pathology report back last Thursday. Good news is... lymph node is still negative. Not good news is... they didn't get clear margins and they found IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma) amid the DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) that we knew about. Luckily the biggest of the 2 IDC tumors was .3 cm (3 mm) so it is very, very early. So, I have to go for yet another surgery - re-excision of the breast to try to get a clear surgical margin. The surgical margin still showed DCIS. Right now I'm scheduled for 1/23 in the afternoon. But I am on their cancellation list to be sooner if possible. The IDC shouldn't change the post-op treatment since it is so small so I still believe no chemo and I'll be going for radiation treatments and hormone therapy (tamoxifen). Aren't you glad you asked? Yes I am glad I asked !! I am so glad you caught this so early Kathy !!! My gf in the ER would always say," As bad as things seem, they could be alot worse." I always think about that...with every bad situation in my life. This really sucks !! But I am glad it isn't worse !!! You have just been through too much this last year !! Dana, Let me know how your Butt/Thigh lift is after the"fact". Mine is Valentines Day. The closer that day gets, the more freaked out I'm getting. It's a lot of cutting. I'm not getting the inner thghs done til the fall though. Too much time under anesthesia and too dangerous with the amount of skin I need to have removed. We really need to meet for lunch some day. I don't go to support meetings anymore, It's tough to get out of the house lately with mom being sick, but I'd like to maybe have coffee and talk "shop".

Sure Jane. I hope your mom is doing okay. I am supposed to come back about 6 months after for that also if I am not happy with the amount of skin he is able to get off in that area while doing the thigh and butt lift. He said I may not need to come back for it..and that is what I am hoping. I REALLY REALLY don't want scars in my groin area !! I am praying that this is the last major plastics surgery I will need. Yes..this surgery isn't going to be too much of a hoot, is it?? !!..lol...I think about all the "cutting" and liposuction too !!! But the sooner it is done the sooner it is over with, and the faster we heal. I am ready to move forward to other things in life now. I just keep reminding myself when I start to dread it, that I will be healed by summer for the most part and ready for the good times !!! I can't wait for the summer. It just can't get here soon enough !! Dana

Doesn't have anything to do with my looks, but with my activity level. There is some OTHER plastic surgery i would like to have, though. Can't wait to meet you in Richmond! Lois

Lois, I have to say that it's different having big boobs that are actually "where" they are supposed to be, rather than hanging down below your belt!!!
