This is a great idea and I am going to join - it is $14.95 but it will give me a few good ideas then I can discuss them with the hairdresser and see if I can maintain it..... I also hate how it can be done one way in the hairdressers and then looks nothing like it when you try tp do it yourself at home lol!! Jackie

Hey Jackie, This MAY or may not be something you're interested in.. My friend lost a LOT of hair fast due to an auto-immune disease, and medications, and combination of PCOS years ago. She got to the point that it was so thin, especially on top, that she had patches of baldness, and couldn't style it to give her confidence to leave the house hardly. We were visiting her mom in florida, and went to an indoor flea-market, and they had one of those wig places there.. I told her I wanted to try on some wigs.. to get her thinking of the idea. She wasn't interested at ALL lol, but we found some hair clips, that were like pieces of hair, attached to comb-type things, like you'd use to pull your hair back, but with hair pieces on them. She had the lady try some in her hair, and they gave her wonderful fullness back on top, and blended in with her color wonderfully. She used those for years, until she had so much hair loss the full wig was necessary. Check them out, they might help Wendy

Funnily enough Wendy I do have hair pieces that are like add-on pony tails and I use them for parties etc and they are great! I just don't want to have to wear them for every day use and keep them for special occasions..... But thanks for the ideas and they may also help other people who are suffering from a lot of hair loss..... Jackie

I would go to a wig shop and see what looks good. I have pin straight hair but it's thick. My hair would just lie in cut straight clups if I had layers. I also have had pre-mature gray hair since I was 16 and was totally gray by 30 so I can't perm my hair because it stips the color. So I actually did a blunt cut, rounded in front to frame my face and then use lift products and a good blow dryer to get it some sort of curl. Anyway, I got o PR partners in Manassas and they rock.

Hi Jackie, I'm sorry I have no advice other than all the good things people have given you. I have always had short hair, thick, but short. It's naturally curly and I can't let it get long cause it just does crazy things. I've always wanted straight hair, thin. My sister has real straight thin dark hair, and when we were little she used to wear these beautiful long braids (looked like an Indian princess) and I begged my mom to braid my thick curly hair ,which she did, and my braids were fat, and went every which way and just looked awful!! Since then I have wanted thin straight hair!!! love donna
