I'm on the losing side now
Thanks for everyone's posts recently. There are so many nay-sayers for us that having support to go through with my surgery was great.
My surgery was on Friday and things went well -- much longer than Robin's surgery - more like 3 hours. There were no real complications but some scar tissue slowed the surgery. I came home yesterday and all in all feel pretty good. No nausea yet --- scared of that -- but taking it easy.
Figuring out medications and protein drinks and getting enough fluids is pretty daunting but I am sure that will come more easily as the days pass.
Once, again - thanks for all of the support. Need to go out and take a walk.
Julia,
Welcome Home!! And congratulations on your surgery...what a wonderful start to your new life. Like everyone says - just take it one day at a time and follow the doctor's guidelines - and before you know it you'll be posting your success! I'm so happy for your smooth surgery and wish you all the best during your recovery.
Enjoy the beautiful weather - go roaming with your water bottle!
Hugs,
Chele
