Two month post op appt...and PROTEIN!
I will start with the protein (cause I know how y'all love WAITING for the news).
I finally found one...many have suggested me to try this...and I have resisted due to the fact that it seems like EVERYONE would rave about a product and then I would find it the most disgusting thing on the planet.
So, I tried Nectar Cappucino...LOVE IT! Yummy...I did make it with milk instead of water and it was soooooo good. Yay me!
Now, my two month post op showed another 15 pounds loss...I was surprised because I was expecting a bit more...but, Dr. MO says I'm right on track...picture perfect. I was told NOT to take B12 for the next two months...my b12 levels were HIGH and I've not been taking it...so, we're going to see what happens...I may be one of those rare people who just happens to absorb enough in my food...
Despite my lack of vitamins for a week prior to blood work due to stricture stuff and my lack of finding adequate protein ****il tonight) my labs looked good.
I did go to my PCP today and had her restart my thyroid replacement...I had stopped it quite some time ago (I know...I shouldn't have) and have been feeling awful without it...so, back on it I go! I also weighed in on their scale...which is nearly exactly consistent with Dr. Mo's and I was another 3 pounds lighter today...so, I am ONE pound...yes ONE pound from being UNDER 300...oh the GLORY!
I love it...feeling fantastic this week and can't wait for a romantic getaway with DH next week.
Missing y'all...been working like crazy! I will update the blog with 2 month pics and such this weekend!
PEACE!

Lisa, You know how important the protein is. You must take it! I am thrilled you found one you like. I myself like the unflavored Unjury. You can put into anything and it is tasteless. Also at our Giant they sell Fage yogert there now. It's in the little case of natural foods across from the express check out. It's very high portein. Kinda blaa by itself but mix some sugar free Straberry jelly into it and yum. Also mix some Hidden Valley Dry ranch mix dressing into it and dip carrots or other veggie. Keep up the good work.

Hi Lisa....You will probably always have to take your thyroid meds...I have to....but it beats feeling yucky that is for sure. Glad you were able to find a protein you could deal with. I know that is the hardest thing to get through after surgery. I like the Nectar myself although I don't like anything that has to do with coffee or the taste. Shame cause my BFF Jill sells the much loved AchiveOne. You might want to try that one too....Just go to Jill Dennis' profile and email her. Anyway, if you can't find her let me know. I too am one of the lucky ones who has no problem with the B12 issue...don't need shots or suppliment. Isn't it strange that most do need that an a few of us don't?
Hugs,
Betsy
Hey Lisa- glad things are doing well for you. Protein is so important. Glad you've found one you like for sure!!! Take care and keep us posted! Congrats on everything. All best.....
