Opinions on Weight Loss Surgery Center of Hampton Roads?

I'm discouraged with the surgeon who did my Lap Band. I need someone who has great follow up care and have scheduled an apt with WLSC in Hampton Roads. They seem to have a great program, but can anyone vouch for it? I'm afraid of switching to another doctor who has the same crummy level of follow up care as I'm dealing with now. Thanks!!

I am a patient of Dr. Terracina. He did my laproscopic RNY. I love that man and his staff. Every time I go in everyone is so friendly. And when I call they are very helpful and get back to me quickly. But you still need to go in and see one of the Drs personally. Good luck. I hope that you find a Dr soon.

Dr. Clark and his staff are AWESOME!!!!  They have ALWAYS bent over backwards to make sure that my needs were met when I needed them.  My opinion is that they are unmatched to anyone!

I'm not sure if you're talking about Dr. Spencer/Moore or not. I had Dr. Moore and could not be more pleased. They have excellent follow-up care. They are very particular about it and make sure you come back to get your labs a lot until you reach a year and then its annual, but there are always available for questions and have monthly support groups that they both attend with the whole staff. I had RNY though and I didn't know they had LAP patients, if thats who you are talking about. If not, well, I can't vouch for anyone else, haha!

I had Dr. Terracina at WLSC but also met with Dr. Clark on more than one occassion.  They are both terrific.  I liked Dr. Terracina a little bit better since he did the lap RNY and chose him, although Dr. Clark is also doing lap procedures now.  Their program is excellent.  Their staff is wonderful.  I am more than pleased with their program, the surgery, the followup care and would HIGHLY recommend them both.  (Although, again, I think Dr. Terracinia is the best!  He has been wonderful with everything, including my followup care.)  I met with the 3 groups in the area that are center's of excellenc:  this group, Tidewater srg, Norfolk srg and chose WLSC and would do it again without reservation. 

I really appreciate all of the feedback. I'm excited to go there on Tuesday! I hope that everything will work out well and that they will be able to live up to the impression that I have of them! Thanks!!
