Need Dr near Pulaski, Va

Dear Virgina Folks, My sister  in law wants to have RNY and asked me to find out about any Docs near where she lives in Pulaski. She works at Virgina Tech. Any ideas?

Im not sure where Oulaski is but Dr Schirmer @ UVA here in Charlottesville, is great he is very good and knowledgeable,and compassionate Dr and surgeon his team is wonderful. Best wishes to her this is the place for her to be..

My friend says its about 2.5 hour drive. But there is a hospital right by the hospital  if you want the # let me know Ill give you Dr Schirmers # and Mary will give you all the hotel info. Im sure.

I agree with Melinda, Dr.Shirmer is the Doctor of choice. I drive 2and a half hours to see him myself but it's worth it to get a doc with over 20 years of experience in this surgery and a reputation like he has. Good luck, Pam

Thanks to you both! I'm not sure she could do the 2 hour thing because my brother is unable to do much any more and she is the only one working. She really needs some one closer.

Im not sure if there is anyone closer I know alot travel all over from that area up here to UVA and Im telling you they cant find anyone better than Dr Schirmer unless they go to Richmond to some of those Dr's Dr Hutcher and then you have to got  to the navel base's for those Dr's I dont have those names then you have to go up to NOVA. No Winchester has reopened there bariatric locaton and Im sure there are other who would post tinformation on them but there even futher for them to drive.
