Good am all, How are ya'll doing this am? How was your turkey day? Ours was all right. Didn't travel anywhere but instead stayed home and had a small dinner here. Missed my sis and some other family but I made the best decision for me. We watched the Thanksgiving Day Parade(s) then the Ghost Hunters Marathon and really just hung out and relaxed. It was a day to remember those who've passed on, thanking the Lord for those who are still here with us, thanking one another for each other and lifting up many in prayer.  Coming into Thanksgiving as some of you may know my grandfather is in the hospital and there has not been any marked change in his condition. It has been determined that he's suffered yet another stroke and at this point is unable to form clear words, write, follow simple commands and so forth. His doc has stated that we will take his situation day to day now and any decisions regarding care, placement etc will be dependant on a battery of tests he will put grandpa through this am in fact. He's 85 years old and has seen better days and honestly I view it differently in the fact that he's done so many things and accomplished plently of his wants that it might be the Lord's way of saying I am going to bring you home. We've not written him off but at the same time its been a downward progression for some time. So, if ya'll would say some prayers. Thanks in advance! Today is a big day for all you shoppers out there (so not gonna be me!) to catch some great deals and enjoy getting into the holiday season. I pray for your safe trips and best of luck getting all that you want accomplished. Today & this weekend we are going to be in decoration mode. We will put the Christmas tree up and decorate it along with others parts of the house and yard. I've been gathering addresses for Christmas cards and making my list for gifts to purchase and special events and such to attend. I truly love the holidays because of the gifts of time, love and spiritual renewal that is shared. I hope that what ever you are doing today you take some time for yourself. Also, do something nice for someone else and let your smile shine greatly. Make the best of what comes your way and remember that you are not alone.  What are your plans for the weekend? For us, its decorating and such as well as getting outside for bits of time since the weather is very different from the 70's and breezy of yesterday to a lot chillier today. I've got some reading I want to catch up on, a couple movies to look at and return as well as some little projects to put touches on. In addition, I'm going to get back into the swing of walking since I'm doing a lot better physically. A quote for today/this weekend: "My philosophy is that we should just do our best--and laugh about the rest. We ave to keep things in perspective."  Hope ya'll have a great day/weekend! All best, big hugs & lots of smiles coming your way!

Prayers going up for your grandpa and you and your family hoping all goes well for him today with his tests. And glad your feeling  better. Just a question with all the reading you do what do you do with all the books you have read? Some sound very interesting or where do you pick them up from. I think maybe Ive see you post you and your daughter fo to the library so maybe thats where you get them just curious. Hope you have a great day. Tell your mom shes in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the thoughts/prayers! Greatly appreciated! As for the books that I read/have read some I keep to read again or reference when they "get me" so that I can share things with others. I often times get several from the library which is wonderful but if its something I've been waiting for or want to add to a specific library (such as the Cmas series I adore by Donna VanLiere; or ANY Stephen King books) I will go to Costco or Barnes & Nobe and buy them there to add to the collections. The library is my first best bet because its like one of my fav rules for books and music - trying before buying. I should probably make a list of books I've read but don't particularly want to keep and if there is interest maybe I can send them along.

Was curious love reading myself but cant afford to buy and then dont get to the library here much because of where located. So kinda got out of it and I love Stephen King movies and Im wondering If the VanLiere is ones I used to read there was a series a long time ago I started like flowers in the attic does that sound familiar? Its the only on I cant remember off my head right now. Its been a long time now. I need to get back into it then it was calmer in my life.

I tell you what I will PM you with the books I have to pass along and if any strike your interest do let me know. I have been a HUGE Stephen King fan since I was VERY young. There are only 2 authors that tie for number one and they are Edgar Allan Poe & Stephen King. Of course there are others but nothing compares to them and many try to compare them to each other however, in my opinion there just isn't any need to do so. But, I digress....lol! Ok, so you are speaking of V.C. Andrews. I do not have any of her books anymore as I passed them along to the library and they became a part of their young readers collection. Now, Donna VanLiere has written some really great books. She has been writing a Cmas series beginning with The Christmas Shoes inspired by the song of the same title (which also happens to be an absolute holiday favorite of mine) written by NewSong. Then The Christmas Blessing, The Christmas Hope & The Christmas Promise. She's written another I'm currently reading called The Angels of Morgan Hill (not a Cmas one but neat still) and a few others. I cannot tell you how much they've lifted my spirits. In addition, there are videos as well for the 1st two in the series. Ok again, I digress.... I'll PM you by this pm! Take care off to the bubbles then some grocery shopping.

Good morning Beautiful!  You & your family are in my prayers.  Yesterday was a great day for me & my family.  We spent some time with my dad & stepmom and just ate and relaxed.  I was up and out  to the stores by 3:30 this morning, didn't get the items I wanted though.  Came home, took a nap and now I am up and ready to go again.  We are house sitting so our weekend activities will be limited.  I believe we are going to start decorating Sunday when we get home.  Hope you enjoy your day and remember to get some rest when you need it.  Love you.

Hello yourself beautiful! Thanks for the prayers. We are plugging along for sure. Mom is at the hospital visiting w/ Gpa now. Apparently he's giving those nurses/docs a fit so they are hoping Mom can rein him in some. Sounds like a great day had by you and your family! I am going to see about having our tree brought down from the attic along with other decorations and we are going to get busy. It always put me in positive spirits when I'm decorating and such. My day thus far has been very nice. I feel like I've gotten some control back with the chores and such I've accomplished. I've been resting as my body has been talking to me. Love you as well!

Hello Friend! I was up and at the mall by 4:00a this morning and found some great deals. Also went to several non-mall stores...it was crazy but everyone out seemed to be in a jolly "this is crazy, but we're in it together" kind of mood. :-) I was home by 9:15a, just in time for a good nap! HA!  SO...now I'm up, watched a movie and am now ready to tackle my mound of goodies to get them wrapped. Tonight will hold a low key night of probably more movies (I've been saving them up on my DVR!).  Prayers for your family....glad to hear you're feeling a bit better too.  Much love to you,

Christina
