A little update
Thank you all for your prayers. Just a little update on my dad. They will be putting in a feeding tube into his stomach sometime early this week. Just found out this morning that this was a major stroke he has lost the use of right side and swallowing, talking and they will be running other test to see what else was affected. I am trying to stay calm and made decisions that will help him and take care of my stepmom. He will go from the hospital to a nursing home as he will need 24 hr a day help and his wife cannot do it as her health is not the best either and I cannot do it all. Like I said before I will take it one day at a time.
Looking forward to Christmas and getting some shopping done and wrapped. Hope everyone has a nice week and enjoy life and give everything to the Lord.
Just a short note to wish you well, it's somewhat frustrating at this point when there is nothing you can do to to help but just be there. The doctors know what they are doing with stroke victims, and although it is hard to watch our love ones struggle with their helplessness, we need to deal with our own.Be strong, have courage, and the Lord will watch over his own and do what is his will. Thank you and yes it is hard to sit back and know that I can not do anything but be there for him. I am trying to deal with him and the fact that now my stepmom does not want to go to the nursing home with him I cannot help her and she is just going to have to understand that I feel that this is a marraiage of conventence the way that she acts. I do not mean to sound like that but that is the way she is acting. Well let me go and be with him for a while. That is what I am doing and will do until the end. I love him a lot.
Thanks sweet lady it is hard to watch but I got a little encouragement today as physical therapy seems to think that he could go to rehabit and get better. We will see they got him sitting up and standing a little and that is a big step for him. They tried to put the tube down his nose and it did not work so they are going to give it a couple of more days and try again. Please pray for me as I have a job interview at 2 tomorrow at the hospital as a possible the person who checks you in.
Glad to hear you are at least getting some news, and ideas on the next steps to take. Definitely go one day at a time and remember to take care of yourself. Enjoy the holiday season and try not to let the negative overwhelm you. My thoughts and prayers are with you & yours.

You are right sweetie that is all that I can do is take it one day at a time and not worry about anything else. Tomorrow I have a job interview at 2pm and it is at the hospital and I am going to try my best to get it. If I get it I will be in the ER department resgistaring patients so that will be a start. I am really praying that I get it if I do I will let all of you know.
