Good am all, We've risen to another beautiful morning! I'm a bit later in posting as time surely crept up on me this am or maybe I slept in a few minutes longer. Which ever I'm up and at 'em and the buggas are stirring & having their breakfast. I'm having an AchievOne and am taking these next few minutes to post here before Kayla leaves for her bus.  Its great to see so many faces here checking in, posting frequently & really brightening the board up. I'm thankful for it because it means there is always an opportunity to learn new & interesting tips, tricks & people. Its neat how not much has changed but how some things have not stayed the same. Its a great mix & I say THANK YOU for being a part of our family! I'd like to ask for some prayers this am. I will of course post the daily prayer requests to the Christianity forum but I know ya'll are prayer warriors here as well. Mom could use 'em. Things with Gpa are somewhat improving but the mental toll it takes having to care for and make decisions for loved ones is tremendous at times. There are several of you who are recovering not only from WLS but reconstructive surgery and a few other things. My hope is that we can lift one another up in prayer and all of us are on the mend. In addition, there are some friends that could use our prayers too. One of my best friends hubs is in pretty serious condition. A few years ago he was bitten by a spider and got an infection and had a nasty reaction. The remaining indicator was a mark from it on his ankle. It was thought all had passed. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Last week while working 2 spots on the mark opened up creating a staph infection. He's on strong antibiotics at this time and was to see a bone doc yesterday pm to get more extensive x-rays/testing as the doc fears its gotten into the bone. The doc says depending on these results he might need to be hospitalized to get even stronger meds through an IV, removal of the skin to the bone (if its not gotten into the bone) to get the complete infection and skin graphs from his rear/thigh area to replace what he'll lose. In addition, if its to the bone worst case scenario is his foot will be taken off to prevent infection to the rest of his body. So, please big prayers here. Lastly, let us offer up prayers for each other and ask for guidance to get us through our trying times. Its tough to remind ourselves that no matter how down we are there is always someone else who is a little or a lot worse off & we should give thanks to the Lord for our many blessings. Today will be a bit busier. I've been working on a to do list and wow its grown. I've not read all the replies to the Cmas gift ideas but I'm sure there will be some great ones. Most of my shopping will be Friday & this weekend with a few other days to come. I'm going to be making some things which I'm excited about. Going to try to get out and about today as well. Missing my nature time. Plus, it was drizzly most of the day yesterday with weird temps...a lot warmer than usual. This am the sun is rising and I hope to grab some park time and enjoy it. I hope ya'll are doing wonderfully & have an amazing day.  QUOTE FOR TODAY: When God dwells in our thankful hearts we can't be anything but joyful. So, run along - enjoy your cuppa, newspaper, TV, music, work or what have you and make the best of your day for sure! Smile your best smile and kill any meanness with kindness. All best...

Good Morning Everyone............ Well....it's a beautiful day here at the ebach, but not for long.  Suppose to get chilly before the day is over. I'm back at work this week.  I must say...it was VERY overwhelming to come back yesterday.  The attention was nice, but it's still me - no matter HOW I look, so it was overwhelming to say the least. Kat...consider it done.  Sending your Mom good vibes and lots of hugs as she has to endure this. Have a great day!!!!

Good Morning!!!!  Well I am settled in at work, drinking my coffee, getting motivated for all this catch up work.  Enjoyed a wonderful evening with my hubby last night.  Did some grocery shopping, etc.  Not sure what is on schedule for this evening.  Have a wonderful day!!!!

Good morning yourself! I'm debating about coffee this am. Some weirdness to report. Since surgery stuff tastes funky/weird. Dunno why but I've been slacking off on coffee. So, I've had an AchievOne, a packet of oatmeal and now working on Crystal Light. Hmmm maybe it'll pass. Glad your evening with hubby was wonderful. You have a wonderful day yourself!
