Thanks all...and NEW PICS!
First, thanks for all of the well wishes and wonderful thoughts and prayers. I could feel them and although I was really struggling...I knew that God was providing the comfort through your prayers.
I am feeling better...I do still have mild moments of pain here and there and I realize that it may be that way off and on for awhile. I have basically started over as far as food is concerned and I'm sticking to primarily liquids and purees for the time being.
I have been doing an occasional soft solid...just for variation but, find that the pain comes back quicker in those cases. I am loving the carafate...not my favorite taste...but, it IS a necessary medication and I know it's working.
I have lost a little over 70 pounds (don't know the exact number) and I'm feeling relatively good. I told my husband last night that I was afraid that Dr. Mo would yell at me for losing TOO much weight over these three months...LOL...who would have ever thought that I would worry about THAT! I see Dr. Mo on Thursday to update him on my ulcer/stricture, etc...basically for him to check on how I'm doing. I'm not going to lie...I can't wait to see what HIS scale says. LOL
Of note...I have posted my 3 months post op pics...and I have to say that I'm impressed with how I'm looking! What a difference 70 pounds makes...I literally look younger and MUCH healthier. I'm thrilled and the side view pic is the most impressive to me. I still can't quite wrap my head around weighing less than I have in 6 years. It's a beautiful thing.
Peace!

Lisa - I'm glad you are feeling better. With both my strictures and bleeding ulcer which was at the opening of my pouch I too had to go back liquids & purees. It took some time but I bounced back. I still have dealt with a nasty ulcer a few times but no more strictures thankfully. I'm glad yours happened NOW (ok not glad it happened at all but) instead of like mine at a year plus post op. Your pictures are wonderful. I am glad things are getting better. Definitely keep taking pictures as they are our truest indicators besides the scale as to the changes we go through. All best...
