Ok....the holidays have hit and we are in full swing.  Many of us are busy with cookie exchanges, gift buying (and wrapping), Christmas cards, parties and all of the hoopla associated with the holidays. Often times, with all of the hustle and bustle, we forget that fitness is still important.  we are ALL guilty of putting it off until tommorrow.  Well...as we all know what can happen tomorrow............. So....I would like to start a challenge for the month of December.  It will run from December 1st - December 31st. That is YOUR goal for the month?  How will you meet your goal? And then log in and tell us if you did or not. Who's in?????? For me????  My goal is to walk 1 hour - 5 days a week.  I KNOW I can do it as I have been doing it fort he past week.  1 hour is 2.25 - 2.5 miles for me.  PLUS.....3 days of 4 pound hand weights.  Bicep curls, Tricep Kicks, Upright Rows...... No overhead.....no abs...... HA!  I haven't been relseased yet, so I still need to be careful.......... I'm going to go a step further......if I meet my goal for the week, I am going to treat myself to a new playlist on my IPOD (10 new songs to keep me motivated). So....what about you?  Many of us are coming off of surgery, but can certainly walk slow.  And what a wonderful gift for yourself this holiday....the gift of health!!!! So....who's in???????

I have decided to join Curves with a co-worker and we are starting on Monday.  I'm embarrassed to say that other than some walking, I have not made exercise a priority since surgery (I know, I'm so bad!!!) and I am now wanting to try to tone up some of this flabby skin I'm beginning to see.  So my goal is to go to Curves at least 3 times a week during my lunch hour.  I'm ready to lose some major inches!!!!   And what better Christmas present could I give myself, right????
