Way, way, Cool Airline Flight

Friends, A year ago I flew to Phoenix and had to buy 2 tickets because I was so big.  I actually had to get a doctor's order for my company comptroller so that she would authorize two tickets - it was quite embarrasing. Also on that trip, I had to ask the flight attendent for a seat belt extension to get the seat belt around my waist. The entire experience and was one of the factors that made me realize that I really needed to have WLS. Today I flew to Florida and was absolutely amazed. I fit in a single seat - comfortably!!!  Instead of my knee****ting the seat in front of me I had 2 inches to spare. Instead of sitting very high on my very large butt, I was sitting at a normal height and could rest my head on the head rest. And I didn't have to get a seat belt extension - that had to have been a reduction of 6 inches, at least. I could even scoot over in my seat so that the large guy next to me would have more room. I am so pumped. Joe

Joe............ That is SO awesome!  I am SO happy for you.  Something about being on an airplane is such a turning point.  Flew over the summer and was literally curled up in the seat reading a book - SHOCKING!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to HATE the feeling when I would get on a full plane and know that everyone was looking at me and hoping and praying that I was not going to sit next to them. I would apologize to whoever was the unlucky person. To be free of that is awesome. I just thought about that and now I am crying in my hotel room because I am so grateful.

That is awesome . Do you know for me it was one of the turning points for me . I was always to ashamed to ask for the extender . So I faked it .. How I Gods name I never got busted .. but I held my hand over my belly .. flashed them briefly .. Now ... I get lost in the seats .. !!  Awesome , Awesome for you my friend .. Sometimes I used to fake having my seat belt on. Then I realized that the other passengers probably would not benefit from me bouncing around the cabin if we hit an air pocket. lol

I bet that was the best feeling in the world Joe! I used to do the same as Nat and fake it sometimes - I never asked for an extender but I used to try to book airlines that had longer seatbelts where possible  - but was always so afraid to have to go Southwest Airlines in case they would ask me to buy a second seat. Now I no longer care which airline my work now book me on  I know I will fit into any seat....... such a relief!! This is just one of the many many benefits that come from this surgery!
